Burnley FC Women are back at home this weekend as they welcome Hull City Ladies to Lancashire FA’s County Ground, Leyland.
The fixture will be the third home game on the bounce for the women, who secured three points last weekend against Stoke City. Goals on the day came from Millie Ravening, Lizzy Hamer and a stoppage time wonder finish from Evie Priestley.
The Clarets will be looking to make it three in three on Sunday, with a visit from the Tigresses up next.
The visitors currently sit bottom of the Northern Premier Division however, following a win against Sheffield FC Women and a narrow 1-0 loss to AFC Fylde Women in their previous fixtures, the team will be looking for points against the Clarets as we enter the home stretch of the 2021/22 campaign.
Burnley FC Women Captain Lauren Bracewell said ahead of the fixture: “It wasn’t the greatest performance against Stoke City Women last weekend, I thought we made it difficult for ourselves, but we managed to grind out a result in the end.
“Hull are going to be a tough team; they’ve had a win and put in a positive performance against Fylde in their past couple of games so they will be well up for it.
“We’ve trained well this week though and we are very confident we can take the three points.”
Sunday’s game will take place at Lancashire FA’s County Ground, Leyland. KO is 2pm and admission is FREE!
