A trip to Newcastle United awaits either Burnley or Nottingham Forest in the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
The Clarets were due to play the Midlands outfit yesterday afternoon, but the third-round tie was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Details of that rearranged fixture are yet to be confirmed.
Newcastle are familiar opponents for Rebecca Sawiuk’s side, with the two teams clashing three times last season.
Now in the Women’s Championship, the Magpies entered the Adobe Women’s FA Cup at the third-round stage and beat Middlesbrough yesterday thanks to a brace from Hannah Greenwood.
The fourth round is due to take place on the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th January 2025.
