Burnley Football Club can confirm that Ashley Westwood has joined MLS side Charlotte FC on a long-term deal.
The midfielder joined the Clarets in January 2016 from Aston Villa and made 181 appearances, scoring seven Premier League goals in the process.
After suffering a long-term injury in April, Westwood has since returned to training and full fitness and will now spend three seasons in North Carolina.
The Club would like to thank Ashley for all his efforts during his time at Turf Moor and wish him all the best for the future.
