Clarets aim to fill bus with food for those who need it over the winter months

This December Burnley Football Club are once again joining forces with partner Vertu to collect food items for the local foodbank operated by Burnley FC in the Community.

At the Clarets’ fixture against Fulham on Saturday 13th December, there will be a lot of fun activities happening on Harry Potts way from 3pm until kick-off, including the return of the two Vertu branded cars and a double decker red bus! This year we want to double the amount of donations and fill a double decker bus with non-perishable items.

In addition to the Harry Potts Way activities, there will also be a drop off station in the Rapidz Fan Zone for anyone that would like to donate an item after the game has finished.

Since opening its doors in 2020, demand for the foodbank - based in Burnley town centre - has seen significant increase and with the weather turning colder this winter, all donations of non-perishable food items are very much welcome.

For those who cannot attend the game to donate in person, an online donation can be made to the foodbank at burnleyfccommunity.org.

All donations this festive season will make a real difference and help the foodbank provide much-needed support to the people in the local community who need it most.
