The Clarets’ U23s will face Everton, Sheffield United and Peterborough United in the group stages of the Premier League Cup.
The tournament wasn’t staged last season to reduce the fixture programme during the pandemic.
But with the Academy competition reinstated for 2021/22, Burnley will now face home and away fixtures in Group D as they look to progress to the knock-out stages.
A trip to Sheffield United is first up on Monday, 11 October, with the return fixture against the Blades scheduled for Friday, 10 December.
Michael Jackson’s men face Peterborough at home on Tuesday, 19 October before kicking off the new year with a trip to take on the Posh on Tuesday, 4 January.
And the Clarets’ two fixtures against Everton see them travel to Southport on Monday, 25 October before entertaining the Toffees in their final group game on Friday, 11 February.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the last-16.
Meanwhile, the Clarets have been drawn at home to Barrow in the first round of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.
And the U18s will be at home to Fleetwood in the first round of the Lancashire FA Youth Cup.
