Friday afternoon will see Burnley U21s take to the pitch against Watford in the Professional Development League, with kick-off at 1pm.
The young Clarets have had the best part of a week without a game since losing to Bristol City 3-2 at the County Ground in Leyland.
City led 2-0 at halftime through a Dylan Kadji strike and a Tommy Blackwell penalty, but Tommy McDermott reduced the arrears two minutes after the interval.
Despite the best efforts of Clarets ‘keeper Charlie Casper Callum Hutton then restored the Reds’ two-gaol advantage before Basilio Socoliche completed the scoring with a composed finish from inside the area.
With three league games remaining Burnley are 7th in the 11-team North section of the table with 41 points, having claimed 12 wins and five draws.
Watford are in a very similar position in the South section, with their 36 points from the same number of games enough to see them occupy 6th place.
Led by former professional Charlie Daniels who played almost 250 league games for AFC Bournemouth, the Hornets have won their last two matches.
They beat Wigan Athletic away from home 3-1 last time out with Laken Torres, Zak Fraser-Grante and Amin Nabizada all finding the net.
As per the league format, this will be the first and only time these two teams meet this season.
The match is being played at Watford’s Vicarage Road and should you be in the area and wish to attend, you are more than welcome to do so. Adults are priced at £5, while U18s are £1.
