Burnley U21s start their 2024/25 Professional Development League season with a lengthy trip to Millwall on Tuesday afternoon.
The Young Clarets have enjoyed a productive pre-season, playing several friendlies to build fitness and familiarity with new members of the squad.
To end preparations for the new campaign, the U21s joined the U18s for a week-long training camp just outside of Poznan.
Andy Farrell’s team’s sole fixture in Poland was a 3-1 victory over Pogon Szczecin, with defender Benn Ward and forward Kamarni Ryan finding the back of the net.
Ryan and fellow new addition Charlie Veevers could make their competitive Burnley debuts on Tuesday afternoon.
Millwall will likely provide stern opposition having won the South section of the Professional Development League with 59 points from 29 matches last season.
They’ve now won back-to-back titles under experienced ex player Kevin Nugent, who’s overseen the team since 2017.
The Lions rounded off pre-season with a 1-0 victory over Dulwich Hamlet, with Tom Leahy scoring the decisive goal.
Kick-off at The Den is 2pm and supporters can watch a one-camera live stream on Millwall TV. Non-subscribers can purchase a match pass for £2.50 and will need to create a free account.
If you're in the area you can also attend in person, with tickets available on the day at £5 for adults and £1 for under-16s.
Otherwise, you can follow updates on X @ClaretsAcademy and a match report will follow the final whistle on www.burnleyfootballclub.com.
