Burnley U21s are unbeaten in their last four outings and are aiming to extend that run when they travel to Fulham for a Friday night clash.
The young Clarets have recorded back-to-back Premier League 2 draws, the latest of which came at home to Derby County earlier this week.
It was yet another wet night in Leyland for that one, but Andy Farrell’s side didn’t let that dampen their spirits as they took the lead in the first half.
The team pressed high on a Derby goal-kick, with Kian McMahon-Brown winning the ball from ‘keeper Jack Thompson and squaring for Zach Johnson to tap in from close range.
Half-time worked a treat for the Rams, though, with Charlie Smith restoring parity just three minutes after the restart.
The U21s now have nine points from their 15 league outings to date, leaving them 27th in the 29-team table.
Fulham are competing at the other end of the table and currently sit 4th, having won eight and drawn five of their 15 matches.
One of their two defeats came last week, though, as they lost 3-0 to Newcastle United in the Northeast.
The key headline from that game was Newcastle ‘keeper Aidan Harris scoring from his own half, with Sean Neave also netting from the penalty spot and Michael Mills completing the scoreline.
Prior to that, the Cottagers were beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace.
Hayden Mullins has been the man in the West Londoners’ dugout since July 2023, following a playing career spanning more than 600 professional games.
Kick-off at Motspur Park (KT3 6PT) is 7pm, and supporters are welcome to attend in person.
Tickets can be purchased at reception on the night, with adults costing £3 and concessions being £1. Cash and card payments are accepted.
A limited amount of parking is available at Motspur Park. Otherwise, Fulham advise that cars can be parked on the local streets.
