Burnley FC’s U21s side are back in action on Friday, as they travel to the JobServe Community Stadium to take on Colchester United in the Professional Development League (7pm KO, BST)
The Clarets were moments away from their first league victory of the season when they took on Cardiff City last Saturday – 26th August – in a 2-2 draw in which the visitors netted with the last kick off the game.
A Trialist gave the Clarets a fifth minute lead before Cody Twose headed the Bluebirds level just before the break.
Tom Tweedy put Burnley back in front after 55 minutes, but Joel Colwill netted in injury time to make sure that the points were shared.

The Clarets currently sit 10th in the Professional Development League table.
Since that game, the U21s have won silverware, conquering a senior Barrow AFC side in the final of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.
Joe Westley netted in the first half before Barrow’s Trialist A scored with the last kick of the game to send the match to spot kicks.
Westley himself stepped up to score the first before Dennis Franchi saved from Ged Garner.
Franchi then kept out another effort from 12 yards from Sam Bellis before U18s captain Joe Ashton slotted home the winning spot kick.
Friday’s opponents Colchester are headed up by former Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke City and West Ham United winger Matty Etherington, and have enjoyed a mixed start to the season.
After winning their first two games against Peterborough United and Barnsley respectively, the U’s lost last time out away from home against Crewe Alexandra, in a game that ended 4-0.
Billy Sass-Davies bagged the opener for the Alex before Muhamed Jatta made it two just before the break.
Second half goals from Callum Agius and Jack Parry condemned Colchester to defeat, and after that game the U’s sit third in the Southern Section of the Professional Development League.
The last time the Clarets faced this week’s opponents was almost five months ago, back in April, in a late season game which saw Burnley come out 2-1 winners.
Tom Tweedy put the Clarets in front before Frankie Edwards levelled the score just before the half hour mark.
It had looked like the points would be shared until tricky winger Renaldo Torraj stepped up to arrow a free-kick home with inch-perfect precision.
