Burnley U21s continue their league campaign on Friday afternoon, with Peterborough United visiting the Burnley Training Centre for a 1pm kick-off.
Andy Farrell’s team lost for the first time in just over two months earlier this week, losing 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday.
After conceding in the first half Tommy McDermott drew the Clarets level on 75 minutes, converting from the penalty spot after Joe Ashton had been fouled.
However, Wednesday’s Cian Maltby replied with less than 10 minutes remaining to end Burnley’s six-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
The Clarets are 6th in the Professional Development League North table with 19 points from 13 matches.
Opponents Peterborough United are four points and three places worse off despite having played five matches more.
Having had a Premier League Cup tie with Sunderland postponed earlier this week, the Posh’s last outing was a 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the same competition.
Pemi Aderoju scored a brace against the Premier League side, having made his Sky Bet League One debut the weekend prior.
Led by Ryan Semple, Peterborough’s last league fixture ended 2-2 against Sheffield Wednesday.
Supporters are welcome to attend the fixture in Padiham.
