The Clarets’ U21 side are in action on Tuesday afternoon – 7th February – when they host Blackpool in the Quarter-Finals of the Lancashire Senior Cup at the Burnley Training Centre (1pm KO).
Reaching the final of the same competition last season, tomorrow afternoon’s last-eight encounter will be a first match in the competition this term for Burnley having received a bye in Round One.
With the chance to make it into the last four, the Clarets also have an opportunity to make it back-to-back wins after success away at Arsenal last time out.

In the last of six Premier League Cup group stage games, Burnley beat the Gunners 3-2 with goals from Joe Westley, Marcel Lewis & Brad Grant.
Tomorrow’s opponents Blackpool meanwhile reached the last eight of the County Cup with a 4-0 success over Bolton Wanderers earlier this season.
The Tangerines utilised some senior figures in that game, as is allowed per the competition guidelines.

Managed by former midfielder Stephen Dobbie, Blackpool’s ‘U21s’ are recognised internally as a ‘Development Squad’ and in their last outing drew 2-2 with local rivals Preston North End in the Central League.
