The U21s are back Professional Development League action for the first time this month on Monday afternoon – 13th February – when they travel to face Birmingham City (1.30pm KO).
Burnley’s previous league outing, only a second of 2023, back on 24th January ended in a 4-3 defeat at home to Crewe Alexandra.
The Clarets were leading 3-2 in that action-packed affair, but saw goalkeeper Denis Franchi sent off before the visitors completed a comeback to take all three points.
Since, there has been cup success for Burnley who rounded off their Premier League Cup campaign with an impressive 3-2 victory at Arsenal before making it into the last four of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup last Tuesday with a 3-1 win at home to Blackpool.

Jez Davies and Renaldo Torraj were both on target against the Tangerines, netting their first goals for the Club, alongside striker Joe Westley. The draw for the Semi-Finals of the County Cup is still awaited.
Attention now turns back to the league for the Clarets, sat 4th at the time of writing with games in hand on all three teams above them.
The top two come the end of the season from the Northern Section, along with the Southern Section, will progress into National Play-Offs, and Burnley are currently just one point behind 2nd-placed Hull City.
On the Clarets’ tails are Monday’s opponents Birmingham, managed by Steve Spooner. The Blues, in 5th, are three points behind Burnley having played a game more.

Last time out, they were beaten 2-1 away against Sheffield United, who themselves are 13 points clear at the top of the Northern Section.
On their visit to East Lancashire in October, Birmingham took a point from a 2-2 draw. Owen Dodgson and Halil Dervişoğlu grabbed the Clarets’ goals that afternoon at the Burnley Training Centre.
Kick-off this time around at the Wast Hills Training Ground in the Midlands comes at 1.30pm, and we’ll have full coverage of the game over on Twitter via @ClaretsAcademy. We’ll also publish a report post-match right here on burnleyfc.com
