The U18s finish their season on Saturday, with AFC Bournemouth the visitors to Burnley Training Centre in the Professional Development League.
Tony Philliskirk’s team are guaranteed a 4th-place finish, taking 46 points courtesy of 12 wins and 10 draws to date.
Burnley have finished the season strongly and are unbeaten in their last six matches, a run that includes four wins.
There was a dramatic late victory over Peterborough United last weekend, with the fit again Ryan Tioffo’s brace stealing the show.
The striker headed in the opening goal before Posh equalised in the 90th minute, but Tioffo ensured all three points came back to Lancashire with a stoppage-time penalty.
Saturday’s opponents AFC Bournemouth are 5th in the 10-team South section table, taking 36 points from 28 matches.
Remarkably, they haven’t drawn a single league game this season.
The Cherries are out of form at present having lost their last three outings, including a 3-0 reverse at the hands of Charlton Athletic earlier this week.
Because of the nature of the league format, this is the first and only meeting between these two teams this season.
Supporters are welcome to attend this fixture at Burnley Training Centre free of charge, with kick-off at 11am.
