Burnley’s U18s secured three points against Crewe Alexandra at Alexandra Park in the Professional Development League, winning 4-0.
Jack Rogers opened the scoring in the sixth minute for the Clarets, before Lucas Wane doubled the advantage shortly after.
Logan Carlin then made it three and Lucas Wane added his second to seal a routine win for Burnley.
First Half
The Clarets applied instant pressure which caused early problems for Crewe, when Jack McEvilly sent a long ball across the pitch and Vernon Masara controlled the ball with one touch before crossing towards Rogers who headed in the opener.
Crewe reacted quickly with an attempted counter-attack when Nathan Robinson connected with Jack Parry, who set Pharrell Williams up for a shot on goal but Clarets ‘keeper Jon Vilar Robinson comfortably caught the ball.

As Burnley continued to see a lot of the ball, they found their second goal 20 minutes in, when West supplied Wane the ball and he drove down the wing, leaving Crewe’s defender Oliver Armstrong behind, and finished well sending Lenarcilc the wrong way.
Second Half
Crewe quickly attempted to find an equaliser at the start of the second half as Lewis Nolan took a shot but Vilar Robinson tipped the ball over the bar.
Burnley continued the second half enjoying a lot of possession and the Railwaymen were unable to create a breakthrough as Noah Adekoya and Campbell interfered throughout.
Clarets substitute Carlin made an impression as within twenty minutes of play he controlled a short pass from West where he tapped the ball straight past the keeper leaving Burnley 3-0 up.
Joel Vincent gave Crewe their last hope as he sent the ball through to Callum Agius who attempted a shot but was completely shut down by Campbell’s pressing.
