The youth team’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday in the U18 Professional Development League has been pushed back 24 hours, and will now take place this coming Wednesday – 19th April – with kick-off remaining at 12pm (BST).
Meanwhile, the night before – 18th April – a younger-looking side will host Sheffield United in the quarter-finals of the Clarets Cup. That last-eight tie will take place at Shawbridge, the home of Clitheroe FC, with a 6.30pm KO (BST).
It’s expected that the squad on Tuesday against the Blades will mainly consist of U16s.
And earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Young Clarets game away against Colchester United – in the league – this coming Saturday (15th April) had changed venue.
Accordingly, here’s how the remainder of the campaign shapes up for Tony Philliskirk’s side with fixtures – as always – remaining subject to change.
· SAT 15 APR - Colchester United (A - 11am), Park Drive [Maldon & Tiptree FC]
· TUE 18 APR – Sheffield United (H – 6.30pm), Shawbridge [Clitheroe FC]
· WED 19 APR - Sheffield Wednesday (A - 12pm), Middlewood Road Training Ground
· SAT 22 APR - Ipswich Town (H - 11am), Burnley Training Centre
· SAT 29 APR - Cardiff City (A - 11am), Leckwith Stadium
· FRI 5 MAY - Birmingham City (H - 1pm), Burnley Training Centre
