By Car
(1) From M5 Junction 1 / West Bromwich
Take the A41 East, signposted Birmingham City Centre.
The stadium is approximately 600 metres towards Birmingham from Junction 1, on the right-hand side.
(2) From Birmingham
Follow the A41 West towards M5 Junction 1.
The stadium will be on your left-hand side.
East Stand
From the M5
Leave the M5 at Junction 1 and, at the roundabout, take the exit signposted A41 Birmingham.
Join the right-hand lane on the A41.
For the West Stand / EPPP, turn right onto Halfords Lane, next to Greggs.
For the East Stand Car Park, continue through the first set of traffic lights. McDonald’s will be on your left and The Hawthorns on your right.
Turn right through the gates into the East Stand Car Park.
Away Coach
Away coaches are instructed to park at a designated area on Middlemore Road; however, this does leave disabled supporters negotiating a relatively steep ramp access up to the away end of the stadium.
If organisers contact West Brom in advance then arrangements can be made with the West Midlands Police that allows for drivers to use designated drop-off / pick-up points for their Disabled Supporters.
This is directly outside the Disabled Supporters Access entrance on the corner of the West Stand and Smethwick End.

By Bus
Buses from across the West Midlands stop on the doorstep of The Hawthorns.
Transport for West Midlands, the region's public transport provider, has timetables for all these services on its website.

By Train or Metro
The Hawthorns Stadium is served by The Hawthorns railway and Metro station, which is located a short walk from the stadium.
Supporters travelling by train to Birmingham New Street can walk to Grand Central tram stop, located outside New Street Station on Stephenson Street (B2 4PY).
From Grand Central, take a Metro tram towards The Hawthorns.
The journey from Grand Central to The Hawthorns takes approximately 15 minutes.
Supporters travelling via Birmingham Snow Hill can also connect with local services to The Hawthorns.
Please check your journey before travelling, as rail and Metro services may be subject to disruption or industrial action.
Road Closures
Sandwell Council have amended the event day traffic order which is used to control traffic flow around The Hawthorns on matchdays.
The following road closures are now in place to further ensure the safety of supporters visiting the stadium.
Pre-match
From 95 minutes before kick-off:
Halfords Lane closed to vehicles from Hawthorns Railway Bridge to the Birmingham Road junction, with the exception of users of club operated car parks and residents of Halfords Lane.
Albion Estate residents can only access or leave the estate via Middlemore Road.
Inside lane of the Westbound carriage (towards M5 Junction 1) closed.
Post-match
Halfords Lane closed to vehicles from Hawthorns Railway Bridge to the Birmingham Road junction until up to 40 minutes after full-time.
Albion Estate residents can only access or leave the estate via the gated entrance on Middlemore Road.
Birmingham Road Westbound carriage (towards M5 junction 1) will be fully closed between Park Lane and Screwfix from 10 minutes before full-time for up to 40 minutes after the final whistle.
Users of club car parks will not be able to access or leave the facilities from 10 minutes before full-time until all pedestrian traffic has left the area.
Step-Free Access
The footpath to the entrance from Hill St has steps, though there is level access from the drop off point. All platforms have lifts and escalators, except platform 1 which has a lift and stairs only. All entrances have automatic doors.
Blind & Partially Sighted
There are large print signs at all entrances and a tactile map opposite the reception inside the Hill St entrance. A braille map and copies of the audio guide and the station map and guide are available from reception. There are Station Audio Guides and the floor is textured at exits and walls / floors and windows / glass doors are easy to tell apart, following advice from the RNIB.
Wheelchairs
Assistance staff have access to wheelchairs for use around the station.

Parking
Fans travelling to The Hawthorns by car on matchdays can now pre-book car parking spaces directly with EST.
At least three car parks will be open within 1 mile of The Hawthorns offering 500 spaces available in total. Car Parking starts at £10 per vehicle and can be purchased online or by calling 02476 997605.
Car parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be available to purchase at least 4 weeks before the match.
Any supporters requiring Accessible parking are advised to book on the National Timber Site.
All of EST’s car parks are located outside of the road closure zone so your access and departure will not be affected by these measures.
Car parks will be open from 3 hours before kick-off and will close 2 hours after the final whistle.
Stadium Information
Visiting supporters are housed in the Smethwick End, typically on the East Side near the East Stand.

Food & Drink
All stands offer a number of refreshment outlets serving a wide selection of food and drink.
Options range from the traditional Pasty and a Bovril, or Pie and a Pint, to Burgers, Pizza, Hot Dogs and Chips. The drinks selection includes soft drinks, hot drinks and a selection of alcoholic beverages.
Payments in the Visiting Section are by credit or debit card only.
Security & Stewarding
The safety and welfare of all supporters and guests is the main priority. West Brom's Security and Stewarding staff are NVQ trained, and background checked.
Security on matchdays is a prime focus for the hosts and all supporters will undergo checks/searches before entry into the stadium in accordance with Ground Regulations.
Please arrive at the turnstiles early so that searching can be carried out and you can enter the stadium with the minimum delay. Small bags/handbags will be allowed after being searched.
Supporters will be required to open their jackets and empty their pockets. Any bags brought in will need to be opened and there may be a need for a physical search if deemed necessary.
To ensure supporters can enter the ground quickly we would ask that they only bring a minimum amount of possessions with them, with the exception of required medical equipment.
Please note that there is no storage area for supporters with large bags so please do not bring any to the stadium.

Musical Instruments/ Trumpets
West Bromwich Albion do not allow travelling fans to bring instruments (drums etc) into the stadium.

Reporting Poor Behaviour
Both Clubs believe that football should be a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for everyone. Abuse of any kind has no place in our game or stadium.
The Hawthorns operates a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of abuse - including disability, racist, sexist, homophobic, transgender identity, threatening behaviour or any other form. Whether it’s from the stands or elsewhere, this conduct will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Every supporter has the right to enjoy the matchday experience in a positive and respectful environment.
If you see or hear abusive behaviour, please don’t ignore it. Report it immediately using the reporting link below.

Accessibility Information
The Hawthorns is a fully accessible stadium with designated entrances around the ground. The accessible entrance for away supporters is in the Smethwick End Stand.
The Club embrace all persons with any form of disability and employs designated Disability Liaison Stewards on a matchday to ensure that everyone has a positive experience.
West Brom would encourage you to contact WBAFC should you have any specific requirements i.e. guide dogs / assistance dogs drinking bowls etc.

Viewing Areas
West Brom provides dedicated viewing areas for disabled supporters; elevated viewing areas are situated in the East Stand and accessible via lifts from the ground floor.
Disabled supporters with tickets for The Birmingham Road Stand and the Smethwick End (the traditional home and away ends) and for both The West and East Stands have access to a number of identified areas for wheelchair users - please contact the West Brom Ticket Office for further details.
These areas are accessed via dedicated Accessible Entrances located at the Birmingham Road / West Stand corner and The West Stand / Smethwick End corner. Both Accessible Entrances have ramp access and facilities and are exclusively for disabled fans and assistants and therefore will have little or no queuing to get in.
Accessible Toilets
Accessible toilets are fitted with alarms, with four located in the Smethwick End / Birmingham Road Disabled Supporters Designated Concourse Area (Home and Away supporters) one further accessible toilet dedicated for away fans only (Radar Key) located externally at the back of A Block (accessible with assistance from Stewards or Personal Assistants due to ramp gradient from pitch level wheelchair spaces).
Audio Commentary
West Brom broadcasts live in house match commentary for all first team matches within the stadium for visually impaired supporters. For hygiene reasons, supporters will need to bring their own 3.5mm jack headset/earphones, as West Brom do not provide these. The frequency is 106.9 FM.
Autism Packs
West Brom have an Autism pack available to purchase from the Stadium Megastore, including a range of sensory items and an inflatable footrest, the pack is available for £20. Please note the content of the packs are subject to availability and there will be colour variations of sensory items.
