Women’s team set for warm-weather training

Burnley Women landed in Spain on Sunday evening, embarking on the team’s first ever pre-season training camp.
The landmark trip is a chance for Manager Jackie Bachteler and her players to ramp up their preparations for the 2026/27 Barclays Women’s Super League 2 season, which is now just six weeks away.
Staying in the Albir region of Costa Blanca, the group have five days of hard work on the training pitches and in the gym ahead.
It’s also a chance to build relationships, with a plethora of new players joining the squad in recent weeks.
Furthermore, there will be a friendly against Spanish top-flight opposition on Wednesday evening.
Excitingly, the group will learn their schedule for the coming months the following morning – with the Barclays WSL releasing every team’s fixture list at 10am (BST) on Thursday 30th July.
