Hannibal admitted although he and the team are pleased with their start to the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship campaign, the Tunisian international says there is more to come from the Clarets.
Burnley head to Stoke this weekend following three consecutive wins and four straight clean sheets and the midfielder highlighted the progress he and his teammates are making game-by-game.
Speaking to Clarets+ ahead of the visit to the bet365 Stadium, he said: “I'm feeling good, we keep winning, I’m really happy for the team. We’re getting better and better, progressing well and I think the whole squad is really pleased with the season so far.
“I think it’s normal sometimes that when you have a lot of new players, a new coach, new staff, it can take a little bit of time to come together.
“But I think everyone can see that it’s coming together now and we are improving match by match. There is still more to come from this team, I know this, but we are happy for now."
The Clarets head to Stoke-on-Trent having conceded the least amount of goals (6) in the Championship this season and no team has more clean sheets than Scott Parker's side. Hannibal says the impressive defensive record is down to a whole team effort and hopes the run can continue.
“Everybody wants to defend for each other, I think you can see that across all the pitch. It’s not just the defenders, it’s the attackers, midfielders and everyone else too, it’s great teamwork.
“I just hope we can continue this run and the defensive record for as long as we can."
Tuesday night saw a third consecutive win for the Clarets, with goals from CJ Egan-Riley and Jeremy Sarmiento securing the three points and Hannibal's passion and joy following the goals was more than clear to see.
The 21-year-old said: “I was very happy for CJ, because he’s a very good friend of mine and he deserves it. So, I think you could see from the celebration what it meant to all the players.
“Then for Jez too, I was very happy for him, he’s a great player and deserved another goal. I was waving to the fans then and getting them fired up after the goal.
“We need the fans with us all season, they help us a lot when we’re doing well and we also need them when things aren’t going so well."
Hannibal is a key figure amongst the dressing room and the former Manchester United man says it's a 'close' group on and off the pitch.
“I think I’m quite a funny guy. I try to make the team smile in the dressing room and have built good relationships with all the players.
“We have players from a lot of different countries, so I can speak in a couple of different languages to them, which is good.
“But it’s a very close team and everyone is in it together and I think from the outside everyone can see that too, when we score, when we celebrate."
