Nathan Tella, who grabbed his third goal of the campaign already on Saturday at Wigan, admits he is settling into life just fine at Burnley.
The 23-year-old forward spoke ahead of Tuesday's meeting with Millwall, discussing his time so far at Turf Moor, his impressive start and the busy week ahead.
Tella on settling in at Burnley:
"It's probably gone better than i expected to be honest. The boys have been class at welcoming me in and that's given me the confidence to take on the pitch.
"There's a few of us still in a hotel at the moment, so it's nice to see them out and about.
"Everyone at the training ground here are so welcoming and have really helped me.
"I feel like i have been playing here for ages, i understand the way we are playing and how we work as a team, so yeah i am really enjoying it."
Tella on the 5-1 win at Wigan:
"I feel like the way we play with possession, teams will sit off us, especially if we score first, they will open up and that will create chances for us.
"Once we get ahead, it's now about maintaining the momentum and keeping disciplined.
"Thankfully at the weekend, we were able to manage it well and then i got the third and we kept our foot on the gas.
"Then we ended up with another couple and got the job done."
Tella on scoring three goals in four matches:
"I feel like i could have had more, but it's a good start. I wasn't a prolific goal scorer at Southampton, but coming here now it has given me that confidence in front of goal.
"I'm happy to have got a few goals, but more importantly the team are getting good results, so it's good all round."
Tella on Tuesday's upcoming game:
"We have had two good results last week, against Shrewsbury in the cup and then at Wigan on the weekend.
"So, hopefully we can carry that into tomorrow night with us and get another good result.
"We know it will be difficult against Millwall, they're a good side who have had a good start to the season too.
"But back in front of our fans at home, I'm looking forward to it."
