Burnley

Charlie Taylor went off in the 1-1 draw at Preston North End with a hamstring injury, he's making good progress and is close to a return.

Jay Rodriguez is Burnley’s top scorer with five. He scored against Cardiff City in a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor in 2011, where Craig Bellamy got the City goal.

Scott Twine and Kevin Long are getting closer to a return after injuries. Long played 45 minutes for the Under-21’s in a recent Premier League Cup defeat at home to Arsenal.

North Macedonian international Darko Churlinov has missed the last two games and may be out for a little while.

Ashley Westwood remains a long-term absentee with an ankle injury.

Cardiff City

Steve Morison left his role as Cardiff City manager after the defeat at Huddersfield Town. Former Bluebirds defender Mark Hudson has stepped up as his replacement. Hudson captained the side when they won the Championship title in 2013.

The Bluebirds have an injury doubt over Welsh international Rubin Colwill who has returned to the club with a niggle.

Former Forest Green Rovers midfielder Ebou Adams hasn’t played for Cardiff City yet because of injury and may miss out again on Saturday.

Nigerian-born left back Jamilu Collins picked up a serious knee injury in the goalless draw at the Hawthorns in August and will be absent for the next few months.

Experienced midfielder Joe Ralls hasn’t featured since the 3-2 win at Middlesbrough because of a groin injury. It is unclear whether he is ready for a return.
