BURNLEY

Top scorer Nathan Tella has missed the last two games with a hip injury.

Striker Jay Rodriguez returned to action in Saturday’s game against Queens Park Rangers. He is likely to be involved again tonight for what would be his first derby appearance.

Swedish international defender Hjalmar Ekdal also has a hip problem and is unlikely to feature in the derby.

Ashley Barnes scored twice in the 3-0 Burnley win against Rovers at Turf Moor back in November 2022.

BLACKBURN ROVERS

Sam Gallagher missed out against Preston North End on Saturday with a hamstring issue. He is likely to be absent again.

Midfielder Tyler Morton, who is on loan from Liverpool, has fractured his foot and will be out for the rest of the season.

Ben Brereton Diaz and Ryan Hedges came off the bench at half-time at Deepdale.

Former Middlesbrough defender Daniel Ayala has missed the last two months with a hamstring injury. He played 45 minutes in the under-21’s home defeat at the hands of champions Manchester City on Sunday but this game probably comes too soon.

Youngsters John Buckley and Jack Vale remain out with injuries.
