Forward looks ahead to Spurs clash

Former Spurs man Marcus Edwards faced the media this week, as Burnley gear up to take on Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Edwards spent over 10 years with Spurs, after breaking through the academy system, before going on to make his senior debut for the club and the winger is relishing the challenge of facing his former side again this weekend.

CONFIDENCE BUILDING

"Of course, getting good results obviously breeds confidence within the group and we want to keep that going this weekend.

"The last couple of league results has shown we can compete with the best, score against the best and it's important we continue that."

MEETING AN OLD FRIEND

"I will always have a lot of love for Tottenham, obviously I came through their academy. I grew up in London supporting them, going to games, so it's always nice to play against them.

"It will be good to see a few old faces, Ben Davies is still there and I played with Pedro Porro at Sporting and some of the staff & coaches were there when I was there so that will be nice."

BRINGING THE ENERGY

"I'm expecting it to be a good game, but a tough game. They won on Tuesday and will be looking to bring that momentum to Turf Moor, but we also have our own confidence and energy in our ranks that we will be bringing.

"I fully expect both teams to be at it and giving it their all and I'm sure for the fans here watching it will be an enjoyable game too."

ONE YEAR AS A CLARET

"It's been a good year overall. Obviously we got promoted to the Premier League, I really enjoyed last season and meeting all my teammates & staff here and the fans too, I have really enjoyed it.

"I'm now just enjoying playing in the Premier League and trying my best to help the team win as many games as possible."
