Clarets set to face Spurs at Turf Moor

Burnley are back at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon, as Scott Parker's side host Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor in the Premier League.

The Clarets go into this weekend's clash unbeaten in their last three games in all competitions, after picking up a point against both Manchester United and Liverpool, with an FA Cup win over Millwall inbetween.

Parker's men remain eight points off 17th place and three points behind West Ham United in 18th and a result at Turf Moor this weekend could close that gap.

Saturday's visitors Spurs head to Lancashire currently sat in 14th, with just two Premier League wins in their last 13 league fixtures.

The opposition

Tottenham are currently navigating another challenging campaign, with Thomas Frank's men sat 14th in the Premier League table, after seven wins, six draws and nine defeats from their 22 fixtures.

Despite struggling for consistency in the league, Spurs do occupy 5th spot in the UEFA Champions League, with Tuesday night's victory over Dortmund adding to their three wins, two draws and one defeat in Europe.

Frank's side made a promising start to the campaign, losing just once in all competitions in the opening three months of the season, including an opening day win against the Clarets.

Their second defeat of the campaign arrived in October, at home to Aston Villa, before responding to that loss with a 3-0 win at Everton.

However, a disappointing winless run of six games in the league and EFL Cup followed that victory, before picking up three points in a win over Brentford at the start of December.

That win over the Bees has turned out to be their second to last win in the league, with just a victory over Crystal Palace at the end of last month being their most recent top-flight victory.

A winless January up until Tuesday night's victory over Dortmund had seen Spurs draw with Brentford and Sunderland, before losing to Bournemouth, Aston Villa and West Ham United.

"But make no mistake, we're up against a side full of international players - players with unbelievable quality, coached by a great coach in Thomas Frank.

"I've come up against Thomas' teams and what I can tell you is that he's a fantastic coach. He prepares his teams fantastically well, and I'm not expecting anything different at the weekend."
