Defender previews Lions clash

Burnley return to Turf Moor this Saturday, as Scott Parker's men take on Millwall in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round.

Prior to the cup tie, full-back Oliver Sonne spoke to the media, where the Peru international discussed his first 12 months with the Clarets, playing in the FA Cup and what to expect from the Lions this weekend.

ONE YEAR A CLARET

"I'm very happy with my first 12 months here. It's always difficult getting out of the Championship and up to the Premier League, but we did that and it was an amazing time.

"Of course on a personal note, I would have preferred to have played more matches, but never the less I have still really enjoyed it.

"Now being in the Premier League, we knew it was always going to be tough, but I have made my Premier League debut and scored my first Premier League goal, so a good year overall when I look back at it."

CLARETS DEBUT

"I remember it like it was yesterday to be honest, not much grass on the pitch, but we got the win and it's always a great occasion to play your first game for the Club.

"When you sign for your a new club you want to play straight away and I was lucky my debut came a few days after signing and in such a special competition like the FA Cup, I will always remember it."

A SPECIAL COMPETITION

"I don't have any specific memories of a certain match or goal, but growing up I remember watching the FA Cup, it's obviously big in England, but also in Copenhagen where I grew up.

"It's such a prestigious tournament and it means a lot to so many people. We want to get as far as possible in the competition, it's an honour to play in the competition every time and it's no different this weekend.

LIONS TEST

"It's a tough opponent, they are full of power and strength. They have done well this season in the Championship and I believe it's going to be a tough game.

"It's very important that we are at our best, it won't be pretty at times and will be a battle out there, but we want to progress into the next round, but so will Millwall, so we know what to expect."
