Jaidon Anthony believes Wednesday night's comeback victory against Crystal Palace can provide the Clarets with a springboard for what's to come in the remainder of the season, in both the Premier League and the Emirates FA Cup.

Anthony was one of the stars of the show, as Scott Parker's battling side fought back from 2-0 down to clinch a remarkable 3-2 win at Selhurst Park, scoring the second of three goals in a six minute purple patch late in the first half to flip the match on its head.

Speaking to the media post-match, Anthony expressed his delight at playing a key role in the Clarets comeback victory in the capital.

IN IT, TOGETHER

"That was the kind of win that epitomises this club - and this town.

"We didn't start the game as we'd have liked, but we stuck in there when it mattered most.

"It was a gritty and resilient performance, with some bits of real quality in there too - a huge shift from players, staff and fans.

"It's been a difficult season for us, we're not shying away from that, but one thing we do have here is a togetherness, and that shone through in our performance.

"It would have been easy to drop our heads at 2-0, but we didn't, we stood up to the battle and we got our rewards in the end."

KEEP BELIEVING

"We've always got the belief - that's never stopped despite the run we've been on.

"We always feel we can create chances, and even when we were behind, it was such an open game that we felt we could play our way back into it.

"Once we got one back, you could see the belief, and then to get a second and third before half-time was an incredible feeling."

SPRINGBOARD

"The second half was all about sticking to the plan.

"We defended well as a team, we attacked in numbers when the opportunities presented themselves - we found a really good balance in our performance to see out the game.

"We need to maintain those standards over the coming weeks and months now. That's what we'll all be trying to do.

"We've got to use this performance and result as a springboard for the rest of our season."

STAYING IN THE FIGHT

"We've got a Cup game this weekend and that presents us with another opportunity.

"The priority is winning football matches - to keep us in the fight in both the Premier League and the FA Cup.
