Information for supporters travelling to Vicarage Road

The Clarets travel to Watford on Good Friday in the Sky Bet Championship.

Please note that all duplicate ticket requests will need to be emailed from the visiting Club and only government recognised ID will be accepted.

Visiting supporters may be asked to show photo ID on matchday, this is to ensure that any ticket collections or duplicates are for use of the named ticket holder.

By Car

Directions to the Church car park from the north or east, join the M25 and exit at junction 20. Take the first exit onto the A41 to Watford. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto A411 (Hempstead Road). Continue along Hempstead Road until you reach the town centre. At the large roundabout take the second exit feeding into the inner ring road, which is a one-way system. Stay in the right-hand lane and follow the ring road until you see the entrance to the Church car park on your right-hand side.

From the south or west, join the M25 and exit at junction 19. At the end of the link road, take the third exit onto A411 (Hempstead Road). Once on Hempstead Road, follow the directions detailed above. From central London, join the M1 and exit at junction 5. Take the second exit onto the A4008. Cross the first roundabout, then take the second exit at the next towards the town centre. At the traffic lights, turn left onto the inner ring road at the T-junction and filter across to the right-hand lane. Follow the ring road until you see the entrance to the Church car park on your right-hand side. If travelling to the stadium on a non-matchday, follow any of the directions above and stay in the left-hand lane when reaching the ring road until you see the sign for Vicarage Road. The club’s postcode is WD18 0ER.

Parking

Fans can reserve parking spaces in the Field Junior School, Ascot Road Primary School or Holywell Primary School car parks on a match-by-match or seasonal basis, by clicking HERE.

There is no parking available at the ground and street parking is restricted for local residents with matchday permits. Watford General Hospital ensure that their security and parking staff monitor the entrances to the hospital car parks to prevent people from parking on-site.

Accessible Parking

Watford FC provide parking spaces for ambulant disabled supporters in the nearby Laurance Haines School in Vicarage Road, which is approximately 7 minutes walk from the stadium.

Spaces are also allocated directly to each away club; supporters should contact their own Supporter Services team or equivalent for more details.

Maps showing access routes for each car park can be provided on request when booking your space. Drop off points are also available at the junction of Farraline Road and Vicarage Road, at the junction of Vicarage Road and Banbury Street, and behind the Graham Taylor Stand in the hospital grounds. When parking is not available at the stadium, further disabled parking spaces can be found at the Church multi-storey Car Park in Watford Town Centre.

By Rail

The nearest station is Watford High Street, a 10-minute walk away from the ground. Watford Junction train station is about a 20-minute walk. Watford also has its own London Underground tube station, which is on the Metropolitan Line and is situated just under one mile from Vicarage Road.

Away Fan Location

The designated away pub is The Oddfellows, 14 Fearnley Street, Watford, WD18 0RD.

Please note that Watford FC do not sell alcohol in the away end.

Accessing the Stadium

Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off. In order to meet our security obligations, we advise that you arrive no later than 45 minutes before kick-off to avoid any potential delays. All supporters will be searched prior to entry into the ground.

Cashless

Vicarage Road is a cashless stadium.

Bag Policy

Vicarage Road operates an A4 bag policy. Bags bigger than A4 may not be permitted into the ground. If you wish to bring a bag larger than A4, please contact supporters@watfordfc.com in advance and include a picture of the bag. Even if permitted into the ground, the bag will still be subject to a search.

Watford FC are unable to store luggage/suitcases on site at Vicarage Road. If you are travelling to the ground straight from the airport, it is advised that you book luggage storage in Watford by clicking HERE. Please note, this storage offering is independent from Watford FC.

Burnley supporters...don’t forget to keep your eyes out for our familiar travelling safety stewards at Watford. You’ll spot them, as always, in their red jackets with Burnley badges. The travelling stewards on Friday will be Marcus, Andrew and Kamran.

Burnley Football Club wish to take the opportunity to remind all supporters travelling to the match on Friday and in the future, that the Club is committed to the standards, values and expectations set out by our internal values, the EFL, the Football Association and Kick It Out.

Burnley FC is One Club for All and we pride ourselves on being open, diverse and welcoming to everyone. Discrimination has no place in football, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to any supporter found breaching our Supporter Code of Conduct.

We will not tolerate any form of hate speech, offensive chanting or discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal, from any supporters at home, away; while travelling to or from Club matches or events; or on social media or digital platforms. The Club will always take the necessary steps to eliminate such unacceptable behaviour; and the individual concerned will be subject to a sanction from the Club and may face arrest and subsequent prosecution.

Burnley Football Club has a zero-tolerance policy for fans entering the playing area and, as a result, any supporter who does so will be issued with a lifetime ban with immediate effect.

We urge all travelling supporters to ensure they represent our football club in a positive manner.

Poor Behaviour

Watford FC reserve the right to eject from Vicarage Road Stadium any person failing to comply with the Stadium Ground Regulations or whose presence within the stadium is or could reasonably be construed as constituting a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance to any other person.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Watford Football Club operates a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding pitch incursions, the use of pyros and anti-social behaviour in general.

Any fan who is ejected will be handed to the Police and they will take the appropriate action.

Flags/Banners

Any supporter wishing to bring a banner into the stadium needs to contact Watford’s Operations department to obtain written approval. Supporters can email supporters@watfordfc.com requesting permission to bring banners into the ground.

Viewing Areas

Visiting supporter facilities are available in the Vicarage Road Stand. There is personal assistant space available in all areas. Dedicated matchday Disabled Liaison Officers are also posted in all areas.

Vicarage Road Stand

This stand has 30 wheelchair spaces at elevated level for visiting supporters, 10 towards the back of the stand and 20 towards the front. There are also 20 amenity/ easy access spaces at elevated level 9 towards the back of the stand and 11 towards the front. Access to the higher positions is via the accessible entrance next to turnstiles 15-18. Wheelchair positions are step-free, amenity/ easy access spaces have 8 steps with handrails.

Accessible Toilets

An accessible toilet is available on the concourse, which is Radar Key operated and has support rails and alarm cords fitted. Access to the front positions is via the accessible entrance next to turnstiles 23-24.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome at Vicarage Road. Should you wish to bring your assistance dog along, please email disabled.supporters@watfordfc.com or call the Supporter Services team on 01923 223023, so necessary arrangements can be made.

Audio Headsets

Watford FC has 21 Soccer Sight headsets, so that visually impaired supporters can sit in any part of the ground and listen to the commentary provided by volunteers from the Watford Hospital Radio team.

Headsets can be provided on a seasonal basis and are also available to visiting supporters.
