Information for supporters travelling to St Mary's

The Clarets attention turns to the cup on Saturday, as they take on Southampton in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round.

Please note that all duplicate ticket requests will need to be emailed from the visiting Club and only government recognised ID will be accepted.

Visiting supporters may be asked to show photo ID on matchday, this is to ensure that any ticket collections or duplicates are for use of the named ticket holder.

The away turnstiles and ticket office are located on the South side of the stadium between the Chapel and Kingsland stands. Visiting supporters can use turnstile E to access the away stand and the ticket office is also located in this area.

By Car

Southampton FC advises visiting fans not to travel by private car into the surrounding areas of Southampton. Due to parking restrictions operating on a matchday Southampton FC recommend making use of public transport wherever possible.

Parking

Please be aware, Southampton FC do not offer general parking at the stadium. Parking may be available for cup matches and would be bookable via the ticket office on 02381 780 780. Away fans have four accessible spaces allocated each matchday and bookings can be made via visiting club.

Accessible Parking

If you're an away supporter and require blue badge parking, you need to contact your own Club. If you buy a space at the stadium, it is advised to arrive at the South Car Park entrance no later than 1 hour 30 minutes before kick-off, due to road closures that are put in place.

If you're unable to arrange a space at St Mary’s, we advise visiting fans not to park in areas around the stadium due to parking restrictions operating on a matchday. It is therefore recommended that you make use of public transport wherever possible. There are plenty of car parking options nearby, including:

Accessible Drop Off and Pick Up Area

A drop off and pick-up area is available for fans. This is found outside the Main Reception area, next to the Ted Bates statue. Access is via Chapel Road and Granville Street to the south of the stadium.

This is available for vehicles for set down and pick up purposes. However, please note that due to road closures, this area will be busy on matchdays.

Please be aware that any vehicles parking in this area are likely to be towed away. If you need assistance getting from the drop off area to your entrance or seat whilst your enabler parks, please contact Southampton FC Accessibility Team on 02380 711 980 or by email accessibility@saintsfc.co.uk.

By Coach

There’s free parking for visiting supporters who are travelling either by official supporters’ coaches, private coaches or minibus on Melbourne Street.

If you are travelling by coach to St Mary’s, coaches will park along Melbourne Street.

By Rail

By Shuttle Bus

Southampton FC runs a dedicated shuttle bus service from two different locations for all home and away supporters – Southampton Central Train Station and Town Quay. The service starts 2 hours before kick-off for all first team matches and runs every 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Contactless payments are accepted.

Please be aware that the shuttle bus from Southampton Central Station picks up from the South side of the train station (Platform 4 side / Western Esplanade) and both shuttle buses drop fans at Britannia Road, just outside the stadium. The return journey also leaves from Britannia Road.

Additional Bus Services

To get to St Mary’s Stadium, hop on the Bluestar 3, Bluestar 16, or Bluestar 18 which stops on Britannia Road, a short walk from the stadium. You can also catch the Bluestar 7, stopping at City College, which is also a short walk from the stadium.

Accessing the Stadium

When attending the match fans are advised to enter the stadium via Melbourne Street, leaving the stadium will be via Melbourne Street only.

Faith Spaces

Southampton FC provides a quiet space at St Mary’s Stadium for visitors of faith to use when arriving at the stadium. You’re welcome to book the Multi-Faith Space ahead of your visit. If you’d like to book, complete the form here.

Cashless Stadium

St Mary’s Stadium is completely cashless. Southampton FC accept all major debit and credit cards and mobile payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Burnley supporters...don’t forget to keep your eyes out for our familiar travelling safety stewards at Southampton!

The stewards on Saturday will be Marcus, Andrew and Kamran. You’ll spot them, as always, in their red jackets with Burnley badges.

They’re there to help and support YOU if you need them - or just a regular, friendly face to keep you reassured and answer any questions you may have!

Burnley Football Club wish to take the opportunity to remind all supporters travelling to the match on Saturday and in the future, that the Club is committed to the standards, values and expectations set out by our internal values, the EFL, the Football Association and Kick It Out.

Burnley FC is One Club for All and we pride ourselves on being open, diverse and welcoming to everyone. Discrimination has no place in football, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to any supporter found breaching our Supporter Code of Conduct.

We will not tolerate any form of hate speech, offensive chanting or discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal, from any supporters at home, away; while travelling to or from Club matches or events; or on social media or digital platforms. The Club will always take the necessary steps to eliminate such unacceptable behaviour; and the individual concerned will be subject to a sanction from the Club and may face arrest and subsequent prosecution.

Burnley Football Club has a zero-tolerance policy for fans entering the playing area and, as a result, any supporter who does so will be issued with a lifetime ban with immediate effect.

We urge all travelling supporters to ensure they represent our football club in a positive manner.

Bag Policy

Bags should be no bigger than A4 size and will be subject to a search prior to entry. They must be small enough to fit under your seat, without causing any obstructions to the walkways.

Reporting Poor Behaviour

Southampton Football Club have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination, bullying, victimisation or harassment.

It is vitally important that everyone feels welcome at St Mary’s Stadium. The strongest possible action will be taken to eliminate any form of discrimination from within St Mary’s Stadium.

If you are the victim or a witness to such behaviour, please text ‘SFCReport’ to 60060 with a description and location of the incident, at the time of the incident. Please provide as much detail as possible.

This may include specific seat details if applicable, descriptions of persons involved, and exact words and phrases wherever possible. It is recommended that you save the number to your phone and text discreetly to help Southampton FC challenge bad behaviour at St Mary’s. Supporters are also encouraged to report any behaviour that they are not comfortable with to any of the stewards or other staff. All reported concerns will be investigated appropriately and confidentially.

Banners/ Flags

There is only a limited amount of space to display banners/ flags within the stadium. Banners/flags above 2 metre square will not be accepted unless they have a fire certificate to say they are safe. Banners above 3 metres square have to be pre-arranged with the Safety Officer and may be refused. They must not obstruct the view of others, cover advertising signs or cause a safety hazard. Banners/ flags must not display any abusive or threatening words, images or political statements. Persons in possession of any of the items listed above will be refused entry into the ground. Your safety is priority.

Southampton FC reserves the right to confiscate any other items that they deem potentially unsafe or dangerous.

Evacuation Process

In the event of an emergency, please carefully follow the instructions that are announced over the tannoy system and the directions of our stewarding team.

Medication and Equipment

Powered Wheelchairs and Scooters

Powered wheelchairs and scooters can be used in all wheelchair accessible spaces – please advise Southampton FC Ticket Office staff at the time of your purchase that you require a wheelchair space.

Southampton ask that you remain in your powered wheelchair or scooter for the duration of your visit, as they do not have storage facilities available.

Please ensure that your powered wheelchair or scooter is fully charged for the duration of your visit to St Mary’s, including the journey to and from the stadium.

Neurodiverse

Southampton FC provide wristbands to help supporters with hidden disabilities receive additional assistance from staff at St Mary’s on a matchday.

Available free of charge, wearing an SFC Access Wristband on a matchday will allow Southampton FC staff to recognise that you may require additional assistance, without you having to share your specific disabilities, or needs, in an open space.

The wristband enables you:

Access to accessible toilets
To leave the stadium for a short period of time, should you need access to a ‘safe space’
To lift access if you are within Hospitality
To further assistance should you wish to purchase refreshments
Access through accessible entrance points at the turnstiles
The ability to bring a larger bag if you need to carry medication or equipment

Accessible Toilets

There are accessible toilets in the visiting supporters section - for both right- and left-hand transfer. Additionally, there are accessible facilities outside of the stadium near the Saints Store and Northam Fan Zone which are available on matchdays

Please note that most of the accessible toilets are fitted with RADAR locks and disabled supporters/ guests will need to bring their RADAR key to access the facilities. If you do not have a RADAR key these can be purchased from local councils, shop-mobility schemes, and online Disability Rights UK. Should you find yourself without a key please approach an Accessibility Steward on a matchday within the area who will be happy to help. On a non-matchday, please speak to a member of staff, who can get in touch with Southampton FC’s Disability Liaison Officers.

Changing Facilities

Changing Places toilets are different to standard accessible toilets, as they have extra features that allow for more space to meet the needs of those who use them. The facility is located on the first floor of the stadium, allowing access for all visitors who may need to use it. It has also been placed near to the raised deck for disabled seating.

The facility is available for use by all fans. Following your ticket purchase, please contact Southampton FC Disability Liaison Officer on 02380 711 980 or accessibility@saintsfc.co.uk, if you would like to use the Changing Places toilet, you can discuss any additional needs and ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

Visually Impaired

Visiting supporters who have a visual impairment can also make use of the Audio Description Service – if you would like to use this, please contact Southampton FC prior to your visit on 02380 711 980 or email accessibility@saintsfc.co.uk.

Assistance Dogs

Southampton FC accommodate assistance dogs wherever possible. Seating areas have been assessed by their Club, Safety Officers and organisations such as Guide Dogs for the Blind and Canine Partners.

Southampton FC accommodate away fans with assistance dogs, and away fans will be seated amongst their own supporters.

Water bowls can be provided upon request, although there are currently no dedicated relieving areas available.
