Information for supporters travelling to Craven Cottage

The Clarets are back in action on Saturday, as Scott Parker's men head to London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

By Car

Parking around Craven Cottage is extremely limited and access to the surrounding streets on a matchday is restricted by a Traffic Management Order.

There is a one-hour maximum stay policy for non-residential pay and display visitors between 9am and 9.30pm on all Monday to Sunday matchdays, including Bank Holidays.

Club Car Parking

There is no car parking provision at the stadium or in the immediate surrounding area.

Complimentary car parking is available upon request to both home and visiting disabled supporters. As spaces are limited, match-by-match parking can only be reserved on a first come first served basis from 7 days before the date of the fixture by contacting the Club's Disability Liaison Officer.

An accessible shuttle bus service takes supporters between the car park and stadium, both before and after the match. This trip takes no more than 5 minutes, although there may be a short wait at full-time.

The names of all disabled supporters who have been allocated a space for each game are given in advance to the Car Park Steward, who is located at the main entrance on Kingwood Road.

Five cameras have been installed in the streets to the west of Wandsworth Bridge Road, meaning only residents with vehicles registered in Hammersmith & Fulham can go through them without penalty. Further information can be found at this link.

By Train

Putney Railway Station

· Putney Railway Statis 1.2 miles from Craven Cottage.

· Southwest Trains

· The closest mainline railway station to Craven Cottage is Putney, located on Putney High Street, south of the River Thames.

· The station is 17 – 35 min walk from the stadium, passing many shops, bars and ATM machines en route.

· The station can be easily reached by train from other railway hubs, including Clapham Junction (5 min) and Waterloo (13 min).

By Underground

Putney Bridge (Zone 2)

· Putney Bridge is 0.7 miles from Craven Cottage via the District Line. The closest station to Craven Cottage, Putney Bridge is approximately a 10 – 20 min walk from the stadium.

· When you exit the station, turn left and follow the road (Ranelagh Gardens). Walk through the underpass into Bishops Park. Follow the path through Bishops Park, along the river until you reach the stadium.

HAMMERSMITH (ZONE 2)

· Hammersmith is 1.4 miles from Craven Cottage.Hammersmith & City Line / Circle LinePiccadilly Line / District LineCraven Cottage is also within reach of Hammersmith station, which is approximately a 20 – 40 min walk north-west of the stadium.

· There are two Underground stations, one serving the Hammersmith & City & Circle Lines and the other serving the Piccadilly Line and the District Line.

FULHAM BROADWAY (ZONE 2)

· Fulham Broadway is 1.3 miles via the District Line.

· In spite of its name, Fulham Broadway is not the closest Underground station to Craven Cottage.

· It is approximately a 20 – 40 min walk from the stadium. Where possible, supporters seeking to board District Line services should use Putney Bridge station.

· Parson’s Green station (also on the District Line) is marginally closer to the stadium than Fulham Broadway.

Accessible Transport

By Bus

· From Kingston-upon-Thames bus station - Take either the number 85 or C4 bus to Putney Bridge. The ground is approximately 10 - 15 min walk from Putney Bridge.

· From Hammersmith - Catch the following bus which run down Fulham Palace Road: 220.

From Putney - Catch either the 74, 424 or the 220 to Fulham Palace Road.

Drivers of visiting supporter coaches that park in Fulham Palace Road are requested to turn off engines when parked.

Arriving at Craven Cottage

When you arrive at Craven Cottage you will be greeted by ‘Here to Help’ stewards. Easily identiﬁed by their grey bibs, the Here to Help team are always on hand to point you in the right direction or help resolve any queries.

Bags

All ticket holders are prohibited from bringing any bag into the stadium unless it adheres to the Club's regulations as outlined below. Entry of any non-compliant bag will be refused.

Bags will be checked on entry and tagged.

The policy has been implemented first and foremost to ensure the enhanced safety of all spectators both inside and out of Craven Cottage.

Food & Drinks

There are a wide range of catering outlets inside the stadium and food & drink is available when the ground opens 90 minutes prior to kick-off.

Each area of the stadium has a number of permanent and mobile catering units.

Hot food items available around the stadium include 6oz cheeseburger, pies, Cumberland sausage sandwiches and hot dogs. There are also a number of soft drinks available and snack items such as crisps.

Alcohol

Drinks are on sale in all areas of the stadium, with units selling a range of beers and wine.

Alcoholic drinks must not be consumed within sight of the pitch and cannot be taken into your seat in the stand.

Please note that in the Putney End units will stop serving alcohol 10 minutes prior to Kick-Off and resume again 15 minutes before half-time. In the Riverside Stand, Johnny Haynes Stand and Hammersmith End, drinks are served from when gates open until the end of half-time. The Riverside Stand also remains open for supporters post-match after selected fixtures.

Behaviour

Noisy support is encouraged but abusive behaviour or inappropriate chants/songs will not be tolerated. On occasions supporters will stand during exciting periods of play but persistent standing is not permitted. Fans are encouraged to remain seated during the match.

Disability Liaison Stewards

Upon arrival at Craven Cottage, Fulham provides Disability Liaison Stewards present to welcome and extra help and assistance for fans with tickets in wheelchair accessible areas of the stadium. A member of the team is located at each entrance (Gate 1, Gate 50 and Cottage Gate) to help with access, and a steward will be available throughout the game at each accessible area of the stadium.

Disability Liaison Stewards are easy identifiable, as unlike our other stewarding staff they wear green jackets or polo shirts.

Accessible Toilets

There is an accessible toilet located close to each wheelchair accessible area. A RADAR key is required to gain entry. Please speak to the Disability Liaison Steward if you require any assistance accessing these facilities.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance Dogs are permitted inside the stadium, although the Club should always be notified in advance to ensure that full provision can be made to accommodate their visit and allow them to work in a safe and suitable environment.

It may be necessary for the Club to decide the most appropriate location for the supporter and their assistance dog to be located inside the stadium. Facilities such as a dog water bowl will be made available on the day of the game.

Audio Commentary

Radio headsets are available for loan to supporters with visual impairments to use. Headsets are provided free of charge but must be reserved in advance on matchday and can be booked by contacting the Club’s Disability Liaison Officer.

Supporters (or their Personal Assistants) are required to give written consent agreeing to cover the cost of the headset if it is not returned after the game. Details of a credit or debit card should be given to reserve the headset under the terms of this agreement.

Headsets can be picked up from the Collection Booth on Stevenage Road. If you will have difficulty accessing the booth, please speak to the Disability Liaison Officer in advance to arrange for your headset to be delivered to your seat in the stadium.

Commentary is provided by Fulham stalwart ‘Gentleman’ Jim McGullion, and mirrors the regular service provided through the Club’s official website.

Catering

There are mobile and fixed catering units located around the stadium, mostly on the concourse area.

Each wheelchair accessible area offers a complimentary catering pre-order service, which is available 30 minutes before kick-off for pre-match and half-time delivery. When you arrive on matchday, please speak to the Disability Liaison Steward in your area of the stadium for further information or assistance in placing an order.

Sunflower Lanyard/Hidden Disabilities

Fulham support the sunflower lanyard scheme for supporters with hidden disabilities. The lanyards assist both supporters and staff as a discreet method of identifying hidden disabilities and those fans who may need extra assistance at the stadium. Induction Loops

Induction loops are fitted at the Ticket Office, fixed concourse catering units and in the main reception at Craven Cottage.

Leaving Craven Cottage

Exit gates are opened shortly before full-time. The main exits are located at the Hammersmith & Putney Gates. There are also a number of exit gates located along the length of the Johnny Haynes Stand. All of these gates lead onto Stevenage Rd.

Bishops Park is open after all matches (including evening games). In general terms the roads leading up to Fulham Palace Road offer a less congested route away from the stadium.
