Information for supporters travelling to Hill Dickinson Stadium

The Clarets are back in action on Tuesday night as they make their first visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium to face Everton.

For any ticketing issues or information, please contact the Burnley FC Ticket Office on 01282 446800, select option 1 or email ticketoffice@burnleyfc.com.

The away ticket office is located next to turnstile 24 and is open three hours before kick-off.

This is the location to pick up any pre-arranged duplicate tickets. Please note that all duplicate tickets must be arranged through Burnley FC as Everton requires their authorisation to reprint any tickets in the visitors’ section. Fans will be required to provide proof of ID on collection.

By Car

Supporters are advised that road closures and parking restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of the stadium on matchdays and advice is to not drive directly to the stadium.

Please do not park on residential and industrial streets surrounding the stadium, as parking enforcement will be in operation. Any illegally parked cars will incur a fine.

Supporters travelling by car are advised to use car parks in the vicinity of the city centre or Bootle Strand, for onward travel to the stadium by train, shuttle bus, or on foot. More information on parking and Park and Ride schemes can be found HERE.

Travel Hub - Everton Football Club

The Queensway (Birkenhead) and Kingsway (Wallasey) Tunnels are a cross-river option for those driving to park and ride locations. Check the Mersey Tunnels website for any potential maintenance closures.

You can sign-up for a T-FLOW account to help speed up travel through the tunnels and if you’re a Liverpool city region resident, you can make a saving on the regular toll price.

Accessible Parking

Everton FC provide 6 accessible parking spaces for away supporters, free of charge. To book, please contact the visiting club DAO to arrange.

You must arrive to the stadium at least 2 hours before kick-off to avoid road closures and it may be a wait of over an hour post-match. There is a designated accessibility entrance with Lift Access to the concourse.

The Accessibility Ticket Office is located in the south stand, with a designated accessibility ticket window.

Blue Badge Holders

For Liverpool City Council parking restrictions surrounding the stadium: In the first instance, Blue Badge holders should follow the guidance in ‘The Blue Badge scheme: rights and responsibilities in England’.

Blue Badge holders are exempt from parking restrictions and can park for as long as needed in permit parking areas, but will need to clearly display a valid Blue Badge.

This is in addition to being able to park on yellow lines, unless there is a loading/unloading restriction, so long as a valid Blue Badge is displayed along with the blue parking clock and the vehicle is not causing an obstruction.

Please note that road closures will be implemented on a number of roads around the stadium on event days.

Supporters will not be permitted access to these streets

Everton reserve the right to not permit vehicle entry to, or exit from, these roads on safety grounds.

By Train

All rail users are urged to check the Merseyrail website journey planner before travelling.

Supporters travelling by train on Merseyrail’s network can use Sandhills, which is the closest station to the stadium and is around a 15-minute walk.

Transport operators have confirmed there will be extra rail services and longer trains to and from Sandhills Station. A special timetable will also be in operation for matchdays, with additional train services before and after the game.

A 15-minute service will operate on the Southport, Ormskirk, Hunts Cross, and Headbolt Lane lines for approximately three hours before and two hours after the match, with all available four and eight-car trains in operation. There will be some changes to the timetable on the Southport line and rail users are urged to check the Merseyrail website journey planner before travelling.

There are over 4,400 free-of-charge car parking facilities at over 40 stations across the Merseyrail network. These allow supporters to use the closest available station and Park and Ride by train. More information can be found HERE.

The Passenger Assistance smartphone app and website can also be used to request assistance for future journeys across the National Rail network and is delivered by Transport in partnership with National Rail. You can find out more on the Passenger Assistance website.

At Sandhills and Liverpool City Centre stations, a crowd flow management system, similar to ones used for other major events in the city region, will be in place to help make journeys smoother and safer.

The crowd flow system at Sandhills will be manned by extra staff and passengers will be guided onto the platforms when the trains arrive to avoid unnecessary congestion on the platforms.

To ease passenger flow, a second entrance with a pedestrian footbridge has been installed at Sandhills.

In the post-match period, when Sandhills becomes busy, some supporters may prefer to use Bank Hall, James Street or Moorfields, depending on final destination. These are 25/30 minutes’ walk from the stadium.

The Old Hall Street entrance to Moorfields station will be open before and after matches (times will vary depending on day/kick-off time).

Passengers are advised to check train times before travelling, plan ahead and allow more time for their journey, as they may need to queue. Passengers are also asked to respect Merseyrail colleagues, who are there to help ensure that everyone gets home as quickly and as safely as possible.

Supporter Coaches

All supporter coaches will be parked on Regent Road (north of the stadium), from the junction with Boundary Street, and north towards Bootle, with home supporter coaches parking first, followed by away supporter coaches further along Regent Road.

To avoid most traffic, coach parking is best accessed from the north of the stadium. It is advised to approach from the north along Derby Road, then turn right onto Boundary Street and right onto Regent Road, to park in the designated location. Everton FC coach parking staff will be on hand to assist in parking.

There will be no charging for away coaches.

Supporter coaches with passengers who have accessible needs will be allowed to park nearest to the stadium on Regent Road. However, Everton must be notified prior to the fixture at stadiumops@evertonfc.com.

By Plane

Located south of the city, Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) is approximately 10 miles from the stadium, with a driving time of 25–35 minutes, traffic dependent.

Manchester Airport (MAN):

Approximately 38 miles east of the city, with a driving time of around 45-55 minutes, traffic dependent.

Entering the Stadium

Visiting supporters are located in a dedicated concourse on Level 1 of Hill Dickinson Stadium, accessed via turnstile block 24. An accessible lift, adjacent to the turnstiles, is available to supporters, on request.

The seated section for visitors, located in the north east corner, is fitted with rail seating throughout, with accessible seating available.

The dedicated concourse features three male and three female toilet blocks. Two of each have baby changing facilities. There are two accessible toilets and one gender neutral toilet. The space also features a first aid room and a Faith Room.

Bag Policy

Bringing bags to Hill Dickinson stadium is actively discouraged. However, small personal bags (i.e. handbag/medical bag) are permitted.

Bags should not exceed A4 size and large bags or luggage, such as rucksacks, briefcases, suitcases or suit bags, brought to Hill Dickinson Stadium, will not be permitted.

Please note that there is nowhere to store such items on the premises. However, there are a number of left luggage facilities in Liverpool City Centre. More information about these can be found HERE.

Supporters who require medical exemptions please complete the form at this link no later than 24 hours before kick-off of the fixture you are attending to request a medical exemption certificate. Please be aware that stewards may ask supporters to open the bag for a quick inspection upon arrival.

Turnstiles

Away turnstiles at Hill Dickinson stadium are situated at block 24 on the North Stand, in the north east corner of the stadium.

The turnstiles are approximately a 10-minute walk from coach parking on Regent Road.

Visiting supporters are advised to enter the stadium footprint via Gate E, as this is the closest gate to the supporter coaches, and turnstiles. Turnstiles at Hill Dickinson Stadium open two hours before kick-off.

Access to all turnstiles is through the Budweiser Plaza, which is open three hours before kick-off.

Supporters are advised to arrive early to support pre-match security and ticket checks, which will be carried out by trained stewards. Along with physical ticket checks and searches, sniffer dogs will also be present at turnstiles to detect drugs and pyrotechnics.

Any supporter under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18. Supporters under the age of 14 attempting to access Hill Dickinson Stadium without an adult will be denied entry.

Cashless Stadium

Hill Dickinson Stadium is a cashless stadium and only card payments will be accepted.

Food & Drink

A full range of refreshments, including alcohol, will be available for purchase at the kiosks on the concourses. All food and drink kiosks inside Everton Stadium are fitted with low-level counters.

The following kiosks are available:

Dockyard Kitchen: A range of beer, cider, pre-packaged alcohol, hot and soft drinks are also sold at this kiosk, along with various pies and sausage rolls.

Flightbirds: Located centrally on the concourse, serving up crispy chicken and chips and salt & pepper chicken. To complement the food, a range of beers, cider, pre-packaged alcohol, hot and soft drinks are also sold here.

Please note that the sale of alcohol can be suspended at any time, as advised by Merseyside Police.

Matchday Programme

The official matchday programme is priced at £4 and sellers can be found outside the stadium and on the stadium concourses inside the stadium.

Quiet Room

There are two quiet rooms located within Hill Dickinson Stadium. These will provide a safe, calm and controlled space that children and adults can retreat to when they feel overwhelmed and overloaded by the sensory stimuli from the immediate environment. Please speak to the nearest accessibility steward who will assist you to the nearest facility if required.

Faith Room

Hill Dickinson Stadium is equipped with a number of Faith Rooms, including one in the visitors’ section. Please speak to the nearest accessibility steward who will assist you to the nearest facility if required.

Supporter Information from Burnley Football Club

Burnley FC is One Club for All and we pride ourselves on being open, diverse and welcoming to everyone. Discrimination has no place in football, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to any supporter found breaching our Supporter Code of Conduct.

We will not tolerate any form of hate speech, offensive chanting or discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal, from any supporters at home, away; while travelling to or from Club matches or events; or on social media or digital platforms. The Club will always take the necessary steps to eliminate such unacceptable behaviour; and the individual concerned will be subject to a sanction from the Club and may face arrest and subsequent prosecution.

Burnley Football Club has a zero-tolerance policy for fans entering the playing area and, as a result, any supporter who does so will be issued with a lifetime ban with immediate effect.

It is also against ground regulations to throw any items/missiles on the pitch - any supporter that throws anything, putting the safety of players and individuals at risk, will receive a severe banning order from the club. This behaviour will not be tolerated.

We urge all travelling supporters to ensure they represent our football club in a positive manner.

Flag Policy

Flags under 2m x 1m are permitted in the away section - providing they have an accompanying fire safety certificate - and will be checked prior to entry. Flags must not contain anything considered to be offensive or discriminatory, including politically motivated statements.

In line with Premier League guidance, supporters are advised that Israeli or Palestinian flags, banners, t-shirts or materials will not be permitted to be displayed at fixtures for the foreseeable future.

Flag poles are not allowed. Fans may be asked to relocate or remove banners should they block exits, stairwells, safety information or the view of another supporter.

Everton FC does not allow any megaphones, drums or similar items to be bought into the stadium.

Smoking / Vaping

Smoking and vaping (including electronic cigarettes) is strictly prohibited in all areas of Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Persistent smoking or vaping negatively impacts the matchday experience for fellow supporters and will not be tolerated.

Anyone found smoking or vaping inside the stadium may be ejected and could face further disciplinary action by Everton FC.

Poor Behaviour

Everton Football Club has a zero-tolerance policy to any form of discriminatory behaviour and language. Supporters who witness such behaviour can speak to their nearest steward or use the confidential reporting lines to report incidents to the Stadium Safety Team. To do this, text HELP and details of what has been witnessed and where to 84300, or email reportit@evertonfc.com.

Everton FC does not condone the use of pyrotechnics under any circumstances. Any fan found using them will be subject to action by the Club and Police. Clubs use various techniques to detect the possession and use of pyrotechnics. Any person found in possession of such items is liable to arrest which could result in a criminal conviction and a subsequent football banning order.

Encroachment on the playing surface is dangerous and any supporter who does access the pitch without permission will face strong sanctions that could include a ban from attending matches across the country. It is a criminal offence to enter the pitch.

All fans are advised to consider fellow supporters while on the concourses. Any anti-social behaviour, such as beer throwing, can result in ejection from the stadium, or, in the case of more serious incidents, arrest and a subsequent nationwide stadium ban.

If you see anything that doesn’t feel right, report it to a steward or police officer.

Safeguarding Information

Children and young people

All fans under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This includes on The Budweiser Plaza, concourses and within the stadium bowl.

Wheelchair Loan

Everton Football Club offers a complimentary wheelchair loan service. These wheelchairs are intended for use only in the area between the Regent Road wall (site entrance) and the users’ designated entrances at Hill Dickinson Stadium. They are to be used for this short journey only and are not suitable for use in any other areas, either within the stadium and its surrounding facilities or outside of them. Loaned wheelchairs are not to be taken to the users’ seats. These can be found on the Budweiser Plaza.

Please note, this service cannot be pre-booked and it is not a pushing service. Users who require assistance with pushing the wheelchair must ensure that a member of their party is able to assist.

Wheelchair / Mobility Aid Storage

Supporters will be able to store personal mobility aids during the match. On arrival to your designated entrance to the stadium, supporters should speak to their nearest steward, who will be able to advise on the most suitable location for storage.

Dementia Wristband

To ensure the safety and comfort of supporters with dementia, Hill Dickinson Stadium offers a wristband system. Available at the Accessible Ticket Office, dementia wristbands help to reunite supporters with their Personal Assistant (PA) or companion should they become lost or disoriented during their visit. This system is designed to promote independence, while ensuring quick and sensitive assistance if required. The PA or companion should write their contact number and seat details clearly on the wristband. If the supporter becomes separated or requires assistance, a steward can use the information on the wristband to contact the PA or companion promptly. The Accessible Ticket Office will serve as the designated refuge point. If required, a steward will accompany the supporter to this location, where they can safely await their PA or companion.

Assistance Dog

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are more than welcome at Hill Dickinson Stadium, please let the Club know when buying a ticket and Everton will ensure suitable seating for your visit, subject to availability. Accessibility stewards will be more than happy to assist you should you need it.

Accessible Toilets

The away section has 2 accessible toilets, these are radar key operated, please speak to the nearest accessibility steward if you require a radar key. All male and female toilet blocks have an enlarged cubicle for ambulant disabled supporters. There are changing facilities across the stadium, spread across male and female WCs.

Accessibility stewards, should you require assistance, wear yellow jackets with ‘Accessibility Steward’ printed on the back.

Changing Place Toilets

There are**** 3 changing places at Hill Dickinson Stadium. The two nearest facilities are located on Level 0 North East Corner near to block 017 and Level 2 North Stand, close to block 238. Supporters needing these facilities should contact the nearest accessibility steward, who will assist them to the nearest Changing Places toilet.

Seat Service

In seat catering services are provided for all wheelchair bays across Hill Dickinson Stadium. Supporters will be issued with an order form on arrival.

10 minutes after kick-off a member of staff will take the order form and payment for goods ordered. 25 minutes before half-time, your order will be delivered to you.

BSL

For all matches at Hill Dickinson Stadium, live links from the in-house presenters broadcast inside the stadium bowl will have full BSL integration on the screens.

Audio Descriptive Commentary

Everton FC offers an enhanced Audio Descriptive Commentary (ADC) providing play-by-play commentary of all the action at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

If you require ADC, please notify the Accessibility team by emailing accessibility@evertonfc.com, providing them with your name and seat details ahead of your visit.

A receiver will be left with Accessibility Stewards in the away stand before kick-off. Please be aware that supporters will need to provide their own headphone/earphones. The receiver takes a standard 3.5mm jack.

At the end of the match, supporters are required to hand the receiver device to their nearest steward. Please note, if you have not pre-ordered your ADC receiver, Everton cannot guarantee availability on the day.

Sensory Packs

Everton FC provide sensory packs for fans with neurodiverse needs such as Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Sensory processing disorder.

Included in the pack, supporters will find:
