Oliver Sonne is hoping the Clarets can carry the momentum and confidence from Sunday's draw with West Ham, after coming from behind to claim a point, into this weekend's clash with West Brom.
The Peru international faced the media on Friday afternoon prior to the trip to the Hawthorns, where Sonne reflected on the opening weekend, welcoming the new signings to the squad, working under Head Coach Nicky Hayen and Sunday's meeting with the Baggies.
HAMMERS REFLECTION
"There are a lot of positives to take from last weekend. We did some really good things and created plenty of nice moments, it's important we take these into our next game.
"I thought we looked really dangerous, we were attacking and always looking to create a chance to score a goal and on another day we probably could have scored more than two.
"Of course it's disappointing to concede the two goals the way we did, but we know that and have worked hard in training this week to get things right and carry the good moments with us into West Brom."
HIGH PRAISE FOR THE BOSS
"First of all, he's a great manager and a great person as well. From the first time I met him and worked under him in pre-season in the US, I got really good impressions and he really is a great coach.
"Since returning from the US and pre-season, he has tried to invent fresh ideas and bring new tactics for us, which as time goes on will get better each week, we are always learning.
"The training is good, the players are getting used to his ways and his philosophy and it's been a really good first month or so working under him.
"I think you could see from last weekend it's going to be exciting football, attacking football and try get the fans off their feet, as well of winning games of course."
WELCOME NEW ADDITIONS
"It's been good to add some more lads to the dressing room this week. Obviously Max (Alleyne) played last weekend and everyone has seen him in action already.
"Then Dastan (Satpayev), Greg (Coudert) and Anel (Ahmedhodžić) have joined this week and have all got straight into the action in training and even in the jokes around the dressing room.
"They all seem to have settled in really well, I would like to think it's a really welcoming dressing room to come into and they all look like they have enjoyed their first few days here."
BAGGIES TEST
"We expect a tough test on Sunday. They have won both their games in the league and cup this season and it's their first home match, so we know they will be up for it.
"We have done our analysis this week and looked at their threats, but it's also important we focus on ourselves and make sure we just do what we need to do to get a result.
"I've heard there will be another good following from our fans too, so hopefully we can give them a nice afternoon."
