11 Clarets have been on international duty around the globe over the last 10 days for their respective countries, in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, friendly fixtures and U21 games.
Lyle Foster (South Africa)
Foster started in both of South Africa's September World Cup Qualifiers, with the striker bagging Bafana Bafana's second goal of the game in the victory over Lesotho last Friday, before turning provider to tee up Oswin Appollis in the 3-0 win.
The forward then played 89 minutes in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Nigeria in Bloemfontein, which sees South Africa sat top of Group C, three points ahead of second-placed Benin, edging closer to World Cup qualification.
Hjalmar Ekdal (Sweden)
Ekdal was included in the starting XI for both of Sweden's World Cup Qualifying fixtures. The first game saw the defender complete 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Slovenia last weekend.
Three days later, the centre-back then started again in Monday evening's defeat to Kosovo, but was replaced in the 66th minute by Newcastle United defender Emil Krath.
Hannibal (Tunisia)
Hannibal and his teammates secured their place at next summer's World Cup, with Tunisia winning both of their September fixtures.
The midfielder started in the opening September game last Thursday, where he assisted a goal in a 3-0 win over Liberia, before then playing an hour on Monday afternoon, which saw Tunisia book their place in the World Cup with a 94th minute winner over Equatorial Guinea.
Axel Tuanzebe (DR Congo)
Defender Axel Tuanzebe was called up, but wasn't included in either of the DR Congo's September fixtures.
DR Congo currently sit second in Group B, just two points off top spot, after losing out to table leaders Senegal on Tuesday.
Josh Cullen (Ireland)
Clarets skipper Cullen started both of Ireland's World Cup Qualifiers against both Hungary and Armenia.
The midfielder played just over an hour last Saturday, as the Boys in Green drew 2-2 against Hungary, before playing 70 minutes on Tuesday night, as Ireland fell to defeat against Armenia.
Oliver Sonne (Peru)
Sonne was an unused substitute in Peru's first September fixture, as Uruguay defeated the away side 3-0 last Thursday night.
The full-back then featured for the final few minutes in Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier 1-0 loss to Paraguay in Lima.
Martin Dúbravka (Slovakia)
Dúbravka enjoyed a successful international break with Slovakia, with the goalkeeper keeping two clean sheets and picking up Player of the Match performances in both World Cup Qualifiers.
The shot-stopper was on hand to make five crucial saves in the 2-0 win over Germany last Thursday, before making four more stops in the dramatic 1-0 win over Luxembourg on Sunday night, which now sees Slovakia top of their group with six points from six.
Lesley Ugochukwu (France U21s)
After France U21s' clash with Luxembourg was postponed last Friday, Ugochukwu featured in Les Bleus' friendly fixture with Serbia on Monday evening.
France ran out 3-0 winners, with the midfielder named in the starting XI.
Max Weiß (Germany U21s)
Goalkeeper Max Weiß received a call-up for Germany's U21s and travelled with the squad, but didn't feature in either fixtures against Albania and Austria.
Armando Broja (Albania)
Broja started in Albania's opening September fixture, where the striker completed a successful 45 minutes, before being replaced at half-time in the 1-0 win over Gibraltar.
The striker then started again and played 89 minutes in Tuesday night's 1-0 victory against Latvia.
Jacob Bruun Larsen (Denmark)
Bruun Larsen was included in Denmark's squad for the September international break, but wasn't involved in the first fixture against Scotland on Friday night.
However, the winger was then brought on in the second-half in the 3-0 win over Greece on Monday night in Athens.
