Rebecca Sawiuk says her players are working ‘incredibly hard’, ahead of them travelling to Kingston Park to take on Newcastle United in the FA Women’s National League on Sunday.
The Magpies, alongside the Clarets, are unbeaten in the league this season, and boast a 100% record, winning all four of their fixtures so far.
And Sawiuk believes it is important that her team find the extra ‘one percent,’ as they look for a positive result out of the fixture.
She said: “Games of football are all the same aren’t they, 11-v-11, so it doesn’t matter who we’re up against, we just want to win.
“The players are working and training incredibly hard and they take on key messages, they stay for extras after training, to work on shooting amongst other things.

“They are working so hard, and what we do here is we ask them to chase that ‘one percent,’ which is the same for all staff and players and we’re united in our approach to that.
Sunday’s game will be the third in a busy week of fixtures for the Claret Women, with them already winning against Stourbridge and Halifax leading up to this game.
In amongst the busy schedule, Sawiuk commended the commitment of her staff and players and said they are looking forward to another challenge.
She added: “It’s a lot is three games in a week for the players, alongside work, nutrition, and sleep, it’s a huge commitment for every single member of staff and the players but we’re looking forward to the challenge.
“We’ve spoken a lot this week about performing in moments of adversity and we can’t wait to get up to Newcastle and step out onto the pitch.

“We are blessed as staff to work with this group, we’ve got some wonderful footballers, as you could see on Wednesday night against Halifax, a lot of players rotated out of position flawlessly.
“The performances players are putting in, no matter what eleven is on the pitch, is exciting the fans and inspiring them.”
