Rebecca Sawiuk thinks that her side have still not yet shown their best form, despite thrashing Huddersfield Town 5-1 on Sunday.
A brace from Millie Ravening, along with goals from Amaya Coleman-Evans, Maria Francis-Jones and Rhema Lord-Mears secured Burnley’s second victory in a week.
The Clarets also beat AFC Fylde 3-0, and despite being pleased with back-to-back victories, Sawiuk thinks her side can get even better.
She said: “First and foremost, I’m happy for the squad as they’ve managed to get back-to-back wins and I think that’s really important for us in getting a bit of momentum now going into the season.
“I’m really pleased with the overall performance, but I think there are aspects of what we’ve seen in the game, despite the big scoreline, that we can get back to the tactics board and develop and put right.

“I think the best is yet to come from our side, and when we get into our rhythm and stride, I think we’ll be really hard to stop at the end of the pitch.
Two out of the four players that scored, came off the bench for the Claret Women against the Terriers.
And Sawiuk was happy with the impact that her changes made during the game and spoke about how they took their opportunities once they were on the pitch.
The manager added: “We are a dangerous team; we’ve got some absolutely wonderful footballers in this team, and we’ve got players who can beat people one-v-one.
“Even in Rhema [Lord-Mears'] goal today, she took it on her weaker foot, under pressure and put it into the top corner from outside the box, so I’m really pleased for her coming on to make a big impact.
“Maria [Francis-Jones] has also come off the bench and made an impact and got us a goal, so I’m really pleased for all of them, they’ve taken their moments within the game, and I think, for me, in terms of our possession and chances created we could have had a lot more.”
