Nathan Tella's impeccable hat-trick at the MKM Stadium sealed Burnley a third successive win in the Sky Bet Championship against Hull City in a convincing 3-1 win.
Tella opened the scoring just before half time, before two goals in the space of 10 second half minutes ensured the three points returned to Lancashire and the unbeaten run was extended to an impressive 17 matches.
Manager Vincent Kompany named the same XI that beat Wigan Athletic 3-0 on the weekend at Turf Moor.
Meanwhile on the bench, Manuel Benson returned to the matchday squad for the first time since January following an injury, with Charlie Taylor replacing Ameen Al-Dakhil.
First Half
The Clarets started on the front foot and forced an early corner when Vitinho threaded a through ball in for Tella, whose cross into the area aiming for Barnes was hacked over the bar by Jones.

Burnley dominated the opening 20 minutes in Hull and came close to an opener when Gudmundsson’s direct low cross nearly caught out Darlow, with the former Newcastle United goalkeeper forced to deny the ball with his feet.
City struggled to get hold of the ball with the visitors enjoying plenty of possession, but Pelkas looked to have carved open a great opportunity to head home the opener, only for the Greek forward to guide the ball well wide of the post and be flagged for offside.
Kompany’s men then worked themselves into the area once again but this time Tella’s strike from Vitinho’s pass flashed wide of the post.
But just before the break the Clarets head their opener when Ekdal picked out Tella, who then weaved into the box and fired low past Darlow to give the visitors a deserved lead in Yorkshire.

City did look for a response in added time of the first half, but Pelkas’ header was once again directed wide of Muric’s goal.
Second Half
Hull started bright in the second half and looked to grab an early equaliser when Allahyar's lofted ball found substitute Estupinan, only for the forward to glance it wide of the goal.
Liam Rosenior's side then had another chance when Ebiowei raced into the area and saw his drilled strike saved by Muric.
The Clarets were pushing for a second though and came close to doubling the lead when Roberts teed up Gudmundsson unmarked inside the area, but the Icelandic winger saw his low driven effort blocked by the legs of Jones and cleared away.
But the pressure paid off just before the hour mark, as Burnley did have their second of the night when Tella turned in Maatsen's teasing cross from close range before wheeling away in front of the travelling faithful.

Tella then grabbed his hat-trick with just under 20 minutes to play after breaking through the Tigers defence and striking the ball into the bottom corner.
Tufan grabbed a late consolation goal for the hosts in stoppage time to deny the Clarets a clean sheet.
