Burnley extended their unbeaten league run to 16 matches as the Clarets were convincing winners in a 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic in the Sky bet Championship at Turf Moor.
Tella opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a header, before doubling his tally for the afternoon and grabbing his 14th of the campaign early in the second half with another header.
Substitute Lyle Foster then fired in a third late on and put the game out of sight securing a 23rd league win of the season.
Manager Vincent Kompany made just one change to the starting XI from last weekend’s draw with Blackpool with Ian Maatsen returning from injury and coming in for Josh Brownhill, who picked up a knock at Bloomfield Road.
First Half
The Clarets started on the front foot and came close to an opener just 11 minutes in when Zaroury’s drilled effort bounced off the outside of the post before being cleared away from danger.

But just three minutes later Burnley did have their opener, as Zaroury was involved once again this time firing a perfectly timed cross into the area for Tella to guide home a header past Amos into the bottom corner to give the hosts the lead.
Kompany’s men were in cruise control with just under 20 minutes played and came close to a second goal when Roberts picked up the ball on the edge of the area from a corner but his effort sailed just over the bar.
Shortly after, Tella then found himself racing through on goal and in search of a second, his strike beat Amos but flashed inches wide of the post.
Wigan’s afternoon just got a little bit tougher when Rekik was then shown a second yellow card and his marching orders for a rash challenge on Tella.

10 minutes before the break Maatsen then tried his luck, after turning Power just outside the box and curling a strike towards the top corner forcing Amos to tip it over for a corner.
The Latics did carve open an opportunity to equalise just before the break when the towering Caulker met Darikwa’s cross with a header from close range, but Muric excellently pushed the goal bound effort away.
Second Half
Kompany’s side could not have then asked for a better start to the second half, as Tella headed in his second of the game and doubled the lead from close range following Zaroury’s corner in the 47th minute.
Burnley should have had a third goal moments later when Tella turned provider and threaded a ball into the path of an unmarked Zaroury, only for the winger to fire just wide of the goal.
With 15 minutes to play Foster then latched onto fellow substitute Obafemi's pass and rifled it past Amos.
