Burnley Football Club can confirm the signing of Bella Reidford, who spent the 2023/24 season on loan with the Club from Manchester United.
Following the expiration of her Red Devils contract in the summer, Reidford has been training with Rebecca Sawiuk’s side and has made three 2024/25 appearances in all competitions.
Her on-field contributions this term, which include a goal against AFC Fylde in the FA Women’s National League Cup, have earned her a permanent contract.
“I really like the ambition of the Club, and it’s something I want to be a part of”, she said.
“There’s a lot of unity in the team and everybody’s on the same page in wanting to gain promotion.
“I’ve really enjoyed this season so far and it’s a really nice group of girls, so hopefully I can make as many contributions to the team as I can.”
Reidford has spent the entirety of her career to date registered with the Red Devils, captaining their U21s side to the WSL Academy League Cup final in 2022/23.
The 21-year-old spent last season with Burnley on a dual registration basis, scoring in January’s victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers and starting the win over West Didsbury & Chorlton in the LFA Senior Cup final.
The central midfielder will continue to wear number 22 for the Clarets.
