RCD Espanyol beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-2 to win the 2026 Dude Perfect International Youth Cup at Burnley Training Centre on Sunday afternoon!
There were celebrations for Atalanta too, who beat Sporting Lisbon 2-0 in a tight final to win the Plate bracket.
It was a chilly start to the day in Padiham but the action got underway at 9am, with various placing matches taking place.
In there was a 3-1 victory for Burnley over Tottenham Hotspur, while French outfit Toulouse produced a stoppage-time winner to beat Pro Elite United.
Come 11am it was time for all four of the event's semi-finals and both Plate fixtures were won by a single goal, with Atalanta beating Brentford and Sporting Lisbon seeing off Lech Poznan.
RCD Espanyol muscled their way past Genk in their Cup semi-final, while Dinamo Zagreb needed extra-time but eventually beat Rangers by the same scoreline.
The Plate final kicked off at 1pm and after leading 1-0 at half-time, Atalanta sealed their silverware with a break away goal in second-half stoppage-time.
At the same time, Genk beat Rangers 3-1 to finish 3rd overall.
Then came the showpiece final between RCD Espanyol and Dinamo Zagreb, with both teams being backed by their lively supporters lining the pitch.
The Spaniards scored twice in two minutes to take a comfortable lead into the break, but Dinamo fought back with a brace of their own in even less time during the second half.
It looked like the fixture was heading for added time, but RCDE’s Pablo Canal stepped up to fire into the top left corner from range and spark jubilant scenes with less than a minute remaining.
Burnley FC’s President of Business Operations Stuart Hunt led the closing ceremony, with the tournament winners and runners-up receiving their respective trophies and medals.
Vito Toure Zagrajsek of Dinamo Zagreb won the Player of the Tournament award, with Rayyan Afaneh of Brentford and Nicola Manzoni of Atalanta jointly winning the Golden Boot.
Jahel Delasse claimed the Golden Glove prize with his performances for Toulouse.
