Millie Ravening was ‘buzzing’ as the Clarets managed to pick up three points in their top-of-the-table clash with Nottingham Forest, winning 4-2.
The midfielder netted twice in the victory, to take her tally for the season up to five in the league, and six in all competitions.
And Ravening was happy to add to the scoresheet once more and help her team triumph over Forest.
She said: “I’m buzzing with the win; Forest are a very good team that set up very well and we’ve done really well to work around them and know where their weaknesses are.
“It’s a big scoreline to win by as well, so we’re proving that we are a strong team within this league.
“I’m buzzing to get on the scoresheet again, I just try to get in the right areas and help the team and find the net where I can.
Ravening also alluded to work that was done in preparation that was done in the week of training to help Rebecca Sawiuk’s side battle to a win.
The 21-year-old added: “We’ve been working hard in training this week on timing our runs and getting enough people into the box to pick out with crosses, so working on getting into the box has been a big thing for us.
“We just do what we always do, we stick together and come up with a plan to try and beat the opponent and give it our best to get a result.”
