Burnley Football Club are delighted to confirm the arrival of midfielder Ugo Raghouber from Lille for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has penned a four-year deal at Turf Moor and joins the Clarets having spent last season on loan with Levante in La Liga.

After making the move to Burnley, Raghouber said: "I'm really happy to be here! It's an amazing club, with huge history and it's an exciting time to join.

"Once I heard of the interest in coming here, I knew I wanted to get the move done. I'm now ready for the next chapter in my career and to give my all for this Club and the fans."

Born in Clichy, Raghouber joined the academy system of Torcy as a youngster and spent six years with the French club, before then joining Lille’s set-up at 14-years-old.

After four years with the Ligue 1 club’s academy and progressing through the ranks, the midfielder was rewarded with his first professional contract in 2021.

Raghouber became a regular with Lille B across the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, playing over 40 games, before getting his first taste of senior football in the French third tier.

The youngster spent the 2023/24 campaign with Le Mans making 19 appearances, before stepping up to Ligue 2 the following year, playing over 30 games during a loan spell with Dunkerque.

Raghouber then experienced his first top-flight campaign last year, following his loan move to La Liga side Levante for the second-half of the season.

The Frenchman now arrives in Lancashire with over 100 senior games under his belt, ready for his next chapter at Turf Moor.
