Striker looks ahead to Old Trafford trip

Burnley begin September with a Friday night trip to the Hawthorns, taking on West Brom under the lights in front of the Sky Sports cameras with a 20:00 kick-off.

The Clarets are unbeaten in five in all competitions, and have won their last three after a 2-0 success against Millwall at Turf Moor on Tuesday night.

Vitinho and Jay Rodriguez both struck within 10 minutes of each other in the second half as Burnley moved up to 3rd in the Sky Bet Championship standings.

Anass Zaroury joined the Clarets prior to that game, while Halil Dervişoğlu & Jordan Beyer joined the Club on deadline day. Zaroury and Dervişoğlu are eligible for tonight’s game.

Where to Watch?

Tickets remain on sale at the Burnley FC ticket office until midday.

Due to the EFL’s guidelines, we are unable to live stream the match, however our pre-match show can be found on YouTube at 19:20.

West Brom

Relegated from the Premier League in 2020/21, West Brom are now in their second season back in the Sky Bet Championship.

After a 10th place finish last time out, Steve Bruce’s side have had a tentative start this time around with eight points from their opening seven league games, and a Second Round exit in the Carabao Cup to Derby County of Sky Bet League One.

Currently sat 14th in the table, the Baggies drew 1-1 at Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening with both goals coming in the first half as Karlan Grant equalised following Josh Magennis’ opener for the Latics at the DW Stadium.

The Last Time We Met

The Clarets last faced West Brom in the 2020/21 season which saw the Baggies relegated from the Premier League.

Both meetings finished goalless with Burnley picking up their first point of the campaign at the Hawthorns before the reverse fixture at Turf Moor in February 2021 saw Baggies defender Semi Ajayi shown a straight red card for a handball which denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.
