Having seen a game against Norwich City postponed as the Club joined the rest of the country in mourning the loss of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Burnley are back in action on Tuesday evening away against Preston North End.
In a 20:00 kick-off, the Clarets will be live in front of the Sky Sports cameras for the second game running when they make the trip from East to West Lancashire having drawn 1-1 away at West Bromwich Albion last time out.
Jay Rodriguez had struck from the penalty spot midway through the first half at the Hawthorns, but Brandon Thomas-Asante struck deep into time added on at the end of the game to earn the Baggies a point.
Vincent Kompany and the side now sit 5th in the Championship table ahead of their trip to Deepdale, where tributes to the late Queen Elizabeth II will continue with a minute’s silence before kick-off and the player’s wearing black armbands.

Preston North End
Ryan Lowe took the helm at Deepdale in December 2021, leaving his position in charge of Sky Bet League One side Plymouth Argyle to do so.
The Liverpudlian led North End to a 13th place finish, and at the start of this campaign, watched his side go seven league games without conceding.
Drawing five of those 0-0, and winning the other two by 1-0 margins, Preston’s defences were eventually breached last time out at home to Birmingham City where Maxime Coline’s 16th minute goal was enough to earn the visitors all three points.
In line with last weekend’s postponements, Lowe’s side saw a trip to Bristol City called off, and now sit 10th with 11 points from 8 games.
The Last Time We Met
Fellow founding members of the Football League, the Clarets have been no strangers to Preston over the years, facing off 137 times competitively with the first of those coming in 1888.
The pair's last competitive meeting though came in April 2016, and was a memorable one for all of a Burnley persuasion in the run to the 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship title.
6000 Clarets fans packed out Deepdale on a Friday night, a game also shown live by the Sky Sports cameras, to see Joey Barton’s free-kick in the 6th minute deflect past Chris Kirkland and into the back of the net.
That proved the only goal of the game and put Burnley to within two wins of promotion.
More recently however, the two Clubs have faced each other in pre-season friendlies with a goalless draw at Deepdale played out Behind Closed Doors in September 2020 the latest.
