Josh Brownhill comes up against two of his former clubs this week, as the Clarets travel to Deepdale on Tuesday night, before hosting Bristol City on Saturday.
The 26-year-old is set to make his 300th league appearance against North End, the club where he made his senior debut back in 2013.
And the Warrington-born midfielder admits he is looking forward to the week ahead and to reaching the 300 mark.
Brownhill on being set to make his 300th league appearance:
"It's nice, making one is what you aim for, so to make 300 league appearances is something I'm really proud of.
"To make it at a place where i made my first league appearance too is quite special as well."
Brownhill on the week ahead facing two former clubs:
"I'm excited. Two game's in a week is always good, everyone loves playing games.
"This week it's against two former teams, first Preston where i came through and have very fond memories of my time there.
"The Bristol City at home on the weekend, where i spent a good four years of my career, where i have some great memories and met some really good people."
Brownhill on making his first league appearance:
"It was my full debut for Preston away at Gillingham, i remember being told the day before that i would be starting.
"I had only played just two games before that as a substitute, so i was really pleased to be starting.
"My family came all the way down too, it was worth the trip though, as i scored the winner late on too, getting my first professional goal."
Brownhill on the north-west derby matches:
"It's really exciting to look forward to them, for the fans too to get one over them around you.
"For us to send the fans home happy with the three points, probably means more to them than the performance, they just want that win!
"They're always a good atmosphere too, like the ones against Blackpool and Wigan this season, that we have already played."
Brownhill on the support so far this season:
"They're incredible, they have been great ever since i have been here.
"Even more so this year, you tend to think we got relegated and not as many might come, but every week home and away they are backing us.
"If anything, it has probably gone up a notch and full credit to them, they're right behind us."
