Burnley travel to the capital on the back of two successive Premier League wins.
The Clarets won 3-0 at the Amex with goals from Wout Weghorst, Josh Brownhill and Aaron Lennon, and followed that with a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor on Wednesday night. Captain Ben Mee got the only goal of the game.
Crystal Palace are managed by three-times Premier League winner Patrick Vieira; they ended a six-game winless run with a 4-1 success against Watford who were managed by former boss Roy Hodgson.
Burnley’s 1-0 win over Antonio Conte’s side was their first 1-0 home win since they beat Sheffield United at Turf Moor in December 2020; Dyche knows how important those wins are.
"Everyone loves the one where you win 3-0 but the 1-0’s are important as a manager so we take as much value in a 1-0 over Tottenham as we do a 3-0 win over Brighton and that’s a powerful one against a good Tottenham side."
The Burnley boss is pleased with recent form and knows the team have worked hard.
"We all felt as a collective we stepped away from it at Leeds and that was a low point. We spoke with the players about it and the strength of the group is when they take ownership of that and they certainly have done."
Form guide
Sean Dyche has won his 250th and 251st Premier League games in charge.
These sides shared six goals in the reverse fixture at Turf Moor. Ben Mee, Chris Wood and Maxwel Cornet got the Burnley goals.
Burnley have won their last two games at Selhurst Park and three of the last five.
Both sides have drawn 11 Premier League games this season.
Palace have won four home league games this season with Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and Norwich City beaten at home.
Opposition guide
Crystal Palace won 4-1 at Vicarage Road on Wednesday to record their first league win of 2022. Their goals came from Jean-Philippe Mateta, Conor Gallagher and Wilfred Zaha (2).
Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira hailed Zaha’s performance in the 4-1 win against Watford as his “best” since he took over as manager.
Zaha was pleased with his two late goals.
“The team that we have allows me to do what I need to do up front,” he said. “If I get the through balls and the balls over the top, all I really need to work on is my final touch. That is what I’m working on.”
Palace moved up to 11th in the table with their sixth league win of the season. They are nine points ahead of Burnley who have three games in hand.
“It feels amazing,” said Zaha. “I feel like top half of the table is where we should be looking at.”
