CORK LOOKS AHEAD TO BLACKPOOL CLASH - Image 2

Jack Cork was introduced at the break for Vincent Kompany's side at Vicarage Road on Friday night, after trailing 1-0 at half-time through Tom Cleverley's stoppage time strike.

And the midfielder spoke to Clarets+ post-match in Hertfordshire about the result, the dominant performance and the upcoming back-to-back home games.

Cork on the result:

"I think it's important we don't get too disappointed from it, we have another game in four days to put things right.

"They're probably going to be one of the best teams in the league this season, so for us to come here and put in a performance like that, where they have created nothing really, apart from the goal.

"I don't think Aro (Muric) had a save to make, but we're creating a lot and it's just putting them chances away now and it will come."

Cork on Watford keeping out Burnley's numerous chances:

"Their keeper (Bachmann) was really good today, he made some really good saves in the second half for them.

"There's a reason all their players went over to him at the end, we've just had one of them days today, we've hit the crossbar, he's saved a few, just unfortunate tonight."

Cork on the dominant second-half:

"We were in their half the whole second-half really, i don't remember a time where they attacked us.

"It was all us the second-half and probably even so in the first, but it's football, it's not an easy place to come and unfortunately we didn't come away with the points today."

Cork on the upcoming double game week:

"We were strong last week at home to Luton, but similar sort of story, we didn't take our chances.

"It will come, it will come, we are creating and we are playing well, hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.

"But we're looking forward to these two home games this week and a chance to get some more points on the board."
