Ahead of Saturday's clash with Brentford we take a look at players that have represented both clubs over the years

Andre Gray

After making his impressive rise through non-league with Hinckley United and then the Conference Premier with Luton Town, Gray earned a move to the Championship in 2014 to join the Bees having not even played in League Two or One. The prolific striker took no time to get going in Red & White after scoring in his 2nd game for the club before going on to finish the season with 18 goals in 50 matches in West London. His eye-catching only campaign with Brentford saw the forward then move to Turf Moor ahead of the 2015/16 season. Gray helped the Clarets seal promotion to the Premier League in his first season at the Club with 23 goals, before scoring nine goals in the top-flight prior to joining Watford in the summer of 2017.

The midfielder made over 40 appearances during his first season in East Lancashire in the Second Division before leaving the Clarets on loan in his second campaign to join Brentford. The winger featured for the Bees in the first half of the 1997/98 season before joining Northampton Town for the second half.

James Tarkowski

The centre-back signed for Brentford on the January transfer window deadline day in 2014, after leaving Oldham Athletic where the defender had spent the previous five seasons. Tarkowski helped the Bees secure promotion to the Championship during his first year at Griffin Park, before going on to feature 74 times across his two-and-a-half seasons at the Club. Midway through the 2016/15 campaign, Tarkowski made the switch from Brentford to Turf Moor and was involved in another promotion as the Clarets won the Championship title. The defender established himself in the Burnley XI across his six seasons in the Premier League with the Club, before leaving in the summer of 2022 to join Everton.
