Burnley's Emirates FA Cup journey continues with a fourth round tie at home to Mansfield Town this weekend.

The Stags, currently sitting in 12th place in League One, head to Turf Moor for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the last-32 tie, Scott Parker spoke to the media on Friday lunchtime.

MOOD & MOMENTUM

"There's been a noticeable lift in the mood around the place as you would expect coming off the back of such an important win - and one we've been waiting for for such a long time.

"Football clubs are often at their best when you've come off the back of a win, and that's certainly been the case over the last couple of days.

"There's been no time to dwell on it though really, as the focus immediately switched to Mansfield on Thursday.

"We now need to take the momentum of Wednesday night's win into the weekend."

MAGIC OF THE CUP

"The FA Cup is a special competition - it's a competition I hold in high value.

"I was brought up on it as a young boy, and some of my best memories growing up are of watching the FA Cup.

"We enjoyed a comfortable win against Millwall in our third-round tie, thanks to a really good performance, and we're all determined to continue to progress in this competition as far as possible."

PROWSEY DEBUT

"This tie gives me the opportunity to give minutes to players who need them - and we need to freshen it up a little, off the back of a really tough period.

"But we'll go in with a full squad, and make the right changes for this fixture.

"James (Ward-Prowse) will play, he'll get his first start for us tomorrow.

"He hasn't played a lot of football this season, so it's important we get him up to speed as soon as possible.

"It was good to get him on the pitch on Wednesday night - and even in the short time he was on the pitch, you could see all of the characteristics he possesses.

"It's a good opportunity for him and for us to see his quality and what he can do for us between now and the remainder of the season."

"A good run in this competition can give everyone around the place a big boost. It can give everyone a real lift - fans, staff, players.

"It can energise us in many different ways

"It'll be a tough game this weekend, I know what Nigel's teams are like and they'll bring a huge travelling support, I'm sure.
