Head Coach Scott Parker admitted although he was disappointed with his team's first-half performance against Norwich City on Sunday, he was more than pleased with the response his side showed in the second 45.

The Clarets got off to the worst possible start at Carrow Road when Jose Cordoba headed home Marcelino Nunez’s corner with just over a minute played.

However, after the side regrouped at half-time, Parker’s men came out and went on to win the game in style through Zian Flemming and Josh Brownhill goals and the Burnley boss praised his team’s response.

Speaking to Clarets+, Parker said: “It was a brilliant comeback to be honest.

“I think we lacked a certain something in the first half, we had a couple of little moments, but I was disappointed in general overall.

“We go a goal down really early, which you don’t need and I felt we needed to get into the game but we were just missing something and we gave ourselves a bit of a task to climb.

“I spoke to the boys at half-time and told them what we needed to add to the game and to a man, they did exactly that to be honest

“Second half we came quick out the blocks, scored a great goal and then scored a good winner.

“I'm really proud of the team, the reaction they showed and they gave every bit of that.”

The Clarets pulled the scores level just after the hour mark, when Flemming smashed home an effort from over 30-yards out.

Brownhill then struck home the winner late on and Parker was thrilled for his goalscorers.

“That could be the goal of the season really, a shot from 30 or so yards straight into the top corner, Flem has a great strike on him and we saw that today.

“We mixed it around in the second half a little bit, threw some more attackers on and changed our tactics & system and that helped us for sure.

“We grew into the game and we were well worthy of the win in the end I thought. A great strike from Browny at a tight angle and he’s done really well to pick the back of the net out.”
