Head Coach Scott Parker is expecting a 'physical and aggressive challenge' from Saturday's opponents Sheffield Wednesday, when the Clarets travel to Hillsborough in the Sky Bet Championship.
Burnley head to Yorkshire in fine form on a six match unbeaten run and sitting in third place just a point off top, but Parker is no stranger to this league and is aware of the test his side will come up against in Sheffield.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday afternoon, Parker credited Danny Röhl's side: "They have had some really good results. They've only lost once at home this season.
"They have changed the way they play slightly and it's worked. It will be an aggressive and physical challenge, especially going to a stadium like Hillsborough with a crowd that get right behind them.
"I say it all the time, but every game in the Championship is tough and this weekend is another one for us. We will go there and do our best to take the opportunity to get three points."
Saturday will see Parker's side back in action for the first time in two weeks following the international break and the Clarets boss admits there are pros and cons of the time off from Championship action.
"You get a lot of time with players that are here. There's been vital detailed work in training with the ones that haven't gone away and there's nothing better than developing and coaching players. I love being on the grass and being out there with the players, getting good training in the legs.
"On the other hand, it's not ideal in certain moments as some players come back and have just a day or two to train and prepare for the game on the weekend and there's a little bit of catchup, but that's the nature of it."

When asked for an update on the squads fitness update, Parker said: "Hannes (Delcroix) has been back on the grass the last few days. He's been out training, obviously modified to the rest of the group, but it's pleasing to see him back outside."
Lyle Foster was forced off with an injury over the international break in South Africa's win over Congo and Parked provided an update on the forward: "We don’t know the full extent at the moment, he came back, we got him back early. He came back into the country yesterday and he’s got an appointment this afternoon to really get a clear idea of it.
“I wouldn’t want to go into too much detail or comment too much, we will wait and see what the experts say and hopefully by the back end of the week or early next week the picture will be a little bit clearer in terms of understanding it. I think it’s fair to say we rule him out of this weekend.”
Parker added: "Longer term, the lads are recovering well and picking up their workload and they are all moving in the right direction and hopefully in the coming weeks they will be pushing to be back around it."
