Head Coach Scott Parker says his side's impressive second-half performance against Stoke City on Saturday afternoon proved to be the difference at the bet365 Stadium, as the Clarets recorded a fourth consecutive Sky Bet Championship win.
After the two sides went into the break goalless, Burnley came out on the front foot and grabbed their opener in the 52nd minute, before adding a second through substitute Josh Brownhill in the 78th minute.
Speaking after the game Parker said: "It's a very good habit we're making, it's a three game week and we've come out of it with maximum points.
"I thought today was a terrific performance overall. We came to a difficult place and they have been really good this season and got some strong results.
"I thought the first-half was a bit of a boxing match, both jabbing away at each other. We had some good moments, as did they and we protected our goal really well.
"At half-time we changed a couple of little things of how we needed to go about it and I thought the second-half we were first class and looked a real threat.
"We looked solid defensively as always, but going forward we were looking dangerous and it paid off in the end. We could have added a couple of more goals, but we'll take the three points and another clean sheet."
The first goal of the afternoon saw Connor Roberts whip a fine cross into the area for Josh Laurent, with the former Stoke City man teeing up Jay Rodriguez to turn home.
Parker admitted that was something his side had worked on in training this week and was pleased to see it come off.
"The first goal was really well worked and it's something we looked at yesterday, trying to work the ball over into the area. We nearly had one in the first-half with Jay (Rodriguez), but yes, I'm pleased that one came off."
Following the fourth win in a row, the Clarets boss highlighted a key moment towards the end of the game that stood out for him across the 90 minutes.
"I said after the game to the lads the most pleasing moment in that 90 minutes was in the 87th minute when we give the ball away and the game is probably gone, but they chase after it as a group, win it back and try to attack again.
"They're the things that you build a good team from, these are the fundamentals that you need to be successful and I'm extremely proud of them all.
"They go out every week and give it their all and I'm extremely proud to be manager of this team. They never give up and they deserved that today."
