Head Coach Scott Parker admitted, although he was disappointed with the early goal conceded against Middlesbrough, he was highly impressed with his side's reaction to going a goal down.
The Clarets started bright in wet and windy treacherous conditions, before Anfernee Dijksteel opened the scoring for Michael Carrick's men against the run of play.
That goal then sparked Burnley to create a number of opportunities and control the next half-an-hour, with the equaliser shortly following before half-time through Connor Roberts' strike from outside the area.
Speaking post-match at Turf Moor, Parker said: "I think we were really good in the first-half, we started really well and I thought we dominated throughout.
"It was a poor goal to concede, I thought it came against the run of play and we just left him open in the middle of the pitch, which you can't do against good teams, because they will hurt you.
"But I thought our reaction to going a goal down was tremendous, we were seriously knocking on the door for sometime and we were well worthy of our goal."

The Clarets looked to try claim all three points in the second-half, but it just wasn't to be despite another handful of chances and Parker was left pleased overall following the full-time whistle and says there are positives to take.
Parker added: "Second-half I don't think we played as well as the first, but we were still trying to unlock their defence and looking to break into the area.
"It's obviously no excuses, but the conditions were poor too. You could see the way the ball was moving, for both teams, it really affected the game towards the end of the second-half.
"We tried to get that second goal and I thought we limited them pretty well, with their only real threat in the second-half being on the counter attack and trying to break.
"Overall I'm really pleased though, with the efforts the players have given and large parts of the game, there's some real positives to take from it."
